At Oak Gardens Place in Altoona, we offer compassionate care in a small, homelike setting. We develop individual care plans to meet the needs of each resident, and a full-time registered nurse is available 24 hours a day to provide clinical oversight and coordination of care.
Residents in community can keep up with hobbies or discover new ones. We offer a variety of activities, such as exercise classes, book club, bingo, happy hour, Christmas carols, and movie nights. Oak Gardens Place is beautiful, clean & very homey! The staff that we met from Cleaning, the Kitchen, Activities, the Nurse, the Coordinator & the Director are so kind, compassionate & they answered all of our questions. The rooms that we toured are very nice, very clean, they have kitchenettes with plenty of cabinets, good size mini-refrigerator, microwave & they are spacious! The food we had there for lunch was so delicious! The activities, games & the outings they have listed for the residents sound fabulous! There is a pretty patio area too.

This facility is infested with bed bugs. Several apartments have them, the tenants bring them out to the public areas where now the seating in the lounge areas and even dining room seating have bed bugs. Ryan the director has not done any proper heat treatment ANYWHERE and just thinks continuously spraying bug spray and putting a few sticky traps out is enough to rid of the infestation. It is getting worse with very little treatment happening.

What a great place to call home! Oak Gardens Place in Altoona, offers a warm and welcoming environment that blends comfort, care, and community. The staff at Oak Gardens are genuinely dedicated to providing compassionate and respectful care. They go above and beyond to meet residents' needs, creating a supportive atmosphere where everyone feels valued. The living spaces are thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and privacy.
