Oakmont of Segovia

If I could give Segovia ten stars, I would. My mom has been a resident at Oakmont of Segovia for several years now, and after all this time, I can honestly say we could not be more grateful that we found this community. She turns 90 this year, and every time I visit, I’m reminded that we made the right decision. The care team—especially Carmen and Angeles—is extraordinary. They don’t just provide care; they genuinely know, love, and advocate for the people who live there. They think about the little things most families wouldn’t even know to ask about: making sure my mom has friends to sit with at meals, helping her get to chair yoga and activities she enjoys, managing her medications, checking in on her, and making sure she feels included, seen, and cared for every single day. Aging comes with moments of vulnerability. There are health changes, unexpected challenges, and days when someone simply needs a little more help. What has impressed me most about Segovia is that those moments are never met with embarrassment or judgment. They are met with patience, compassion, dignity, and grace. As a daughter, that means more than I can put into words. But what makes Segovia so exceptional is that this spirit extends far beyond the care team. Lori has been wonderful, and every person I’ve encountered, from the front desk staff to the dining team, housekeeping, maintenance, exercise class teachers, the activities team, and leadership—has made this community feel warm, welcoming, and genuinely joyful. I drive in from Los Angeles every couple of weeks, and one of the biggest surprises has been that I don’t feel the need to take my mom somewhere else to spend quality time together. I actually love spending time at Segovia. I’ve joined chair yoga classes (the residents are STRONG!), watched a magic show, enjoyed many parties with live music, shared meals, and found myself lingering in the care office simply talking with the team because they are such wonderful human beings. I never imagined I would say that about a senior living community, but it truly feels like an extended family. Every time I walk through the doors, people greet me by name. There is laughter, music, friendship, purpose, and kindness everywhere you look. Segovia has created a place where people don’t just receive excellent care—they continue to live with dignity, connection, and joy. To everyone at Oakmont of Segovia, thank you. The peace you’ve given our family is immeasurable. Knowing our mom is surrounded by people who genuinely care is one of the greatest gifts we’ve ever received. If there were an award for helping people age with dignity, humanity, and heart (not to mention FUN!!) Segovia would have my vote every single time. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

An Amazing Experience! I can’t express enough how thankful I am for Lori and the entire staff at Segovia. I recently needed to transition my 91 year old mother from her own home to assisted living. I researched many locations and visited a couple of them and none of them hold a candle to the quality and care of the Segovia staff. Lori from Marketing made the process incredibly easy and treated my mom with such care and compassion. They helped me get really nice rental furniture quickly from a trusted vendor and made the move in process seamless. The building facilities are top notch and beautifully decorated. I have now had multiple meals with my mom at Segovia and the food quality is amazing and the service is excellent. The staff has made us feel very welcome in such a short time. In my mom’s first week, she has already started making friends and participating in the multiple activities in the development and offsite. If you are looking for the best in assisted living in the Coachella Valley, Segovia is the place!

Very nice retirement community. Beautiful facilities. Very comfortable feel. I visited a friend who lives in a 2 bedroom unit. It's spacious with great appliances in the kitchen. It's the perfect place for one or two to live comfortably together. Lots of entertainment options. Great menu for meals. Lots of really nice people. Highly recommended for someone looking for something in that price range.

We toured this gated retirement resort and were thoroughly impressed with the staff, amenities, and dining options. Lori from Marketing was gracious enough to give us a tour at a short notice. The pool, Jacuzzi, putting green and dog park were all top notch.
