The place is brand new the staff was extra courteous while taking a new resident. They had everything anyone would need to start a new life all brand new including toothpaste toothbrush body wash. New towels and beef linens. Great place.

I really cannot give this place any stars. This place went downhill so fast from all the crazy people they let live there. Either users or trouble makers. This was really nice when they first opened but it’s horrible now. No Social worker to help anyone get out. You have to do everything on your own. And the food is awful. They need a better chef! I am so disappointed in this place! The management needs to change!

Over all, as a relative my experience with this place was not good at all. There was never any trust or professionalism established with me as a relative of a former resident. There was little to no rehabilitation care, poor communication, nonchalant responsiveness to addressing concerns, bias treatment, little teamwork at all if any. The goto response for anything was always understaffed and expense. I never received any information about policies and procedures let alone who to call for what and how to contact anyone, except the receptionist. The front door and other doors are not even handicap accessible, although it might be now if they’ve started to demonstrate concern and not just treat people like they aren’t worthy of excellent care. There was no social workers on staff and no team and case management care that I was made aware of. I feel like I failed by giving this place the benefit of the doubt because of it’s newness, location, and name. My experience was that the operations there is more like a residence than a healthcare residential facility. On behalf of my relative’s concerns, he would probably say getting any assistance was like pulling teeth out of a lion’s mouth. If your relative is placed in this facility, unless it has drastically changed be sure to ask the insurance for available in home care seevices because for the most part, my relative was left to fend for himself except for appointment reminders, meds, meals, and laundry. To the best of my knowledge there was no Barber premises. They do have good concierge seevices. This place is really like being at home and maybe that is the design. No community services were provided, for instance voter registration engagement didn’t occur. I am not sure if you are able to have in room phone service in the residences or not, nonething was ever communiicated. My suggestion is that if you are not able to check in on your relative in person at least 3 or more times a week, have outside professionals and as many people as possible check in on your relative there in person. Also consider hiring cleaning service for you relative from time to time. It is truly like they are living at home with a school cafeteria, pharmacy, laundry, and limited concierge services on premises and that’s it. I lost my relative there too and it was unexpected. Although disabled, my relative was NOT on hospice care!
