New Perspective Prior Lake

Hi i'm Tom Yarusso an 80 year old vulnerable adult, going thru Chemotherapy again for the 2nd time. I have found the best place to live. The management, the residents, and the food are fantastic. The food is restaurant style, cooked to order if you don't like the main meal offered. (see photo of menu).

Last week, I visited a current resident at New Perspective Prior Lake. I have been to this community many times and have consistently had positive interactions with the staff and management. However, this visit was the first time I encountered the Executive Director, and the experience was extremely concerning. During my visit, the Executive Director behaved in a highly unprofessional manner in the main entrance area. She was loud and disruptive, made inappropriate remarks toward other staff members, and used profanity—all while visitors were present. There appeared to be little awareness or concern for who was nearby, including residents and guests. At one point, she made a disparaging comment about an employee as they walked past. My friend, who has lived at the community for several years, shared that the Executive Director is rarely available to residents. When she is available, my friend stated that she is often dismissive and rude when residents bring concerns forward. It is disheartening to know that residents and staff may be subjected to this type of behavior. My friend expressed that what keeps her at the community is the kindness and professionalism of the other managers, staff and residents. While it is reassuring to know that the mass majority of that building conducts themselves with respect and professionalism, it is deeply troubling that the Executive Director does not model the same standards. I strongly believe that everyone deserves to be treated with respect, and unfortunately, the behavior I witnessed does not reflect that principle. Someone in authority should take this matter seriously and address it appropriately.

We couldn’t be happier with New Perspective- Prior Lake location! From the moment we first visited, we knew it was the perfect place for my parents. The location is ideal—convenient, peaceful, and surrounded by a welcoming community. The facility itself is spacious, well-maintained, and truly feels like home. But what makes New Perspective- Prior Lake location stand out the most is the incredible staff and residents. Everyone is kind, attentive, and genuinely cares about the well-being of each person living there. My parents have made wonderful friends, and we have peace of mind knowing they are in such a caring and supportive environment. We loved it so much my mother-in-law moved into New Perspective- Prior Lake location too!!!

My family and I have had a very positive experience with New Perspective Senior Living in Prior Lake. My Mom recently moved in and we were extremely pleased with the process from start to finish. The decision to make the move was difficult for my Mom and the team at New Perspectives welcomed us for repeated visits as my Mom prepared to make that big change. They were patient, understanding and respectful of her feelings regarding this big decision. Once we decided to make the move, the team was helpful with every step of the process from choosing the right unit, to finding movers and making my Mom feel welcome from the moment she entered the building. They were with us on moving day, available to answer our many questions, and welcomed us to meet other residents, meet the staff and try a meal. The building is clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful. Most of all, the residents have made my Mom feel like a part of their community from her first day. Thank you, New Perspectives - we are grateful to jave found you!
