If you are looking for a place to take care of a loved one who needs assistant with their basic everyday care..... THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. My mother has been at this location for 6 week and the lack of basic care has been so subpar. My mother's safety has been at risk since day one (See Pictures). The staff sees nothing wrong with how she is on the wheelchairs in the pictures. Staff that doesn't know how to use the equipment properly, she goes the whole day without being checked. When pushing her button for help it goes hours with out anyone coming to see what she needs. She was there for 5 weeks and was never showered once. Simple things like brushing her teeth everyday can not even be done regularly. The final straw was when my mom was having a bad day and was nonresponsive when trying to wake her up. The young lady giving her pills decided since she could not wake her up she would take the pills and shove them in her mouth. Then after shoving them in her mouth tried to give her water and because she could not get any water in her mouth decided to leave the water and walk out of them room. Leaving the pills in her mouth for the potential to choke. This facility only has one care and that is the money that is being paid by the families. Your loved ones best interest is not their priority. The worst part is the facility puts the blame on the family and does not take accountability for their staff and their lack of care and training. I had several meetings with the directors and nothing got better.

This has been by far the best decision we could have made for my mother-in-law. I highly recommend New Perspective for senior living. Seeing her thrive in a community full of caring staff, activities, delicious food, an array of family events, makes this move worth it!

OMG…this is what I see when I go into New Perspective on 60 and Browndeer road..This place is Elegant!!! I said to myself..this is the perfect place for my mama!!! She was 80 years old at the time, with dementia and she needed to be in a new community that’s Protected and RESPECTED..So I scheduled a tour. When you first walk through the doors you will be greeted by an informative concierge one of them is Ms Lakisha. What caught my eye was the beautiful marble wall on both sides of the front desk with a thin waterfall that runs down. I am also impressed with the digital security check in verifying anyone entering that building. The layout kind of reminds me of the Pfister Hotel. I like the Coffee Cafe to the right, where once a week they serve free donuts and coffee, also impressed to see a small gift shop of goods with small food items for the residents in the apartments. And the Apartments upstairs is a MUST see…marble top kitchen bars with appliances, washer and dryer in the unit, patios with protective screens and emergency buttons in case if emergencies..Back to the first floor..to your left with the soft leather chairs, with fireplace for the warm season. An upstairs is a bar (where they do happy hour weekly serving two free drinks and sometimes entertainment. Also there is a pool table and patio and a library an another fireplace. But back to downstairs when you go around the corner in the main cafe. Culinary Director Cha Cha, an her amazing staff serves so many many meals that’s delicious and very nutritious with desserts..and the cafeteria is where the parties and events take place Family Night every month where I seen Christopher Project and other live bands had us doing the wobble. lol..And what impressed me was seeing the Director of the building Ms Jenna as well the Business Manager personally serving the residents and guest making sure they are being treated the best! But here is why I had to post something..my mom is in memory care and at 82 her room needed a thorough cleaning well the manager of memory care Ms Sharita..did a AMAZING job. I can not thank all of the employees of New Perspective enough..because you can see in their faces they care. Best move I made for my mama!!! Thank yall

I would like to take a moment to share my experience at the New Perspective Brown Deer location. Every time I enter the building, I feel a sense of home and warmth. The staff is highly experienced and knowledgeable; Jennifer, the Director of Nursing, is always welcoming, even on her busiest days. The Activity Director, Karen, ensures that the residents are engaged and having fun. I truly appreciate this aspect of the facility. Additionally, Ebony is a fantastic team member who works diligently to keep the residents happy. I just wanted to express my appreciation for my experience at the facility and encourage everyone to keep up the great work.
