My mother is in memory care. It is now Dec 26th. I have been trying to contact my mother and lines are going to voice mail. A few days ago when I was able to reach the cottage she is staying at the worker who answered said she was eating dinner and would remind my mom to call after. We'll that's fine except she is in memory care for a reason. Iin the past I have left Ross a voice mail. Apparently the guy who runs it and he did not feel he needed to return my call. Very frustrated.

New Perspective has been exceptional to my family. I have placed my mom in their Cloquet facility and they have been so caring and kind to her as she transitions to a new lifestyle. She has been really nervous and the staff has made her feel loved and she is slowly coming around to a new lifestyle.

I have a mixed review. While the staff of friendly and verbalize their willingness to carry out requests, I see a lack in follow through. My dad is in your memory care unit. He really does not like it there. I know he has had frequent issues and has been taken by ambulance to the hospital a few times due to “acting out” and falls. It seems the staff should be well trained in problems with dementia patients, yet we get calls to de-escalate outbursts with my dad. Is there a shortage of staff? Also, I have requested his care plan over 10 days ago and have followed up no less then 6 times without any results. Again, verbal agreements from staff to make sure this is happening but no follow through. I know some of his medical needs regarding his heart are not being addressed and I am unable to view his care plan. I have done all that was requested of me to get this. This facility is extremely expensive. I expect way more from you. We are considering a move.

We couldn't have had a more pleasant experience when dealing with the difficult decision of moving Dad into an assisted living facility. We started our search on a Sunday evening and were looking for a small rural community so Dad could be in familiar surroundings. We received a phone call that same Sunday putting us in touch with the team in Cloquet. Rachel and Ross have been instrumental in getting Dad from rehab into assisted living with little effort on our behalf. Rachel and Ross worked directly with Dad's physicians and the rehab center, as well as with the social workers and physical therapists who were working with Dad. They responded immediately with questions or concerns we had, they were always available. The move was seamless and we are relieved to know that Dad is in a safe place with staff that know his name and neighbors who have coffee every morning with Dad. Ted and Cheryl
