Memory Haven

This facility does not provide a satisfactory environment for the care of loved ones. According to a med tech, the chef intentionally misled a vegan resident, serving meat and falsely claiming it was plant-based. I observed RCC Annessa reprimanding a caregiver for insignificant issues while visiting.

Memory Haven is a very special place, staffed by very wonderful caregivers. My mother was at Memory Haven for almost two years before she passed away. The care she was given was wonderful. The caregivers are truly concerned with the welfare of the residents. Whenever I visited, I would find them interacting wit the residents, doing activities, walking with them or just visiting with them. The facility is very welcoming and homey. There are many activities that family members can be involved in. Family members are also encouraged and welcome to just come for a visit or a meal. I always felt very welcome there and my mother was extremely well cared for. The staff worked very hard at making sure she was as comfortable and as happy as possible. The caregivers were very supportive to myself and my brother and they helped us understand the disease of Alzheimer's and how to best help my mother. I was very lucky to have found Memory Haven and could not have asked for a better place or better care for her. I would and have recommended Memory Haven to anyone looking for Alzheimer's or Dementia care for a loved one. It is the best care facility that I found and it is very reasonably priced compared to many of the facilities that don' provide care anywhere near as good.

Although our moms time at Memory Haven was only for a short two months, there is a need to express our deepest gratitude to the facility and to each and every staff member. Their kind, warm, and gentle care provided us reassurance that our mom was in the best place during her last days. Our mom’s condition came on suddenly and progressed quickly. Memory Haven was there for us in a dire need situation. I work in a hospital and see patient care on a daily basis, so when I saw the attention to detail, (such as finding the right water bottle, or making sure she had her blanket we made her and her stuffed animal next to her), the patience, and the love for helping those needing memory care, I knew she was in good hands. We visited everyday, and always felt welcome. During our moms last days, we stayed by our moms side, and they welcomed all of our family in to be with her, (even found games for the kids to play, again, attention to detail). To Donna, Michelle and ALL of the caregivers, our family sends our sincerest gratitude for all you do. Thank you.

My wife of 51 years is a current resident. She has been there for 1 1/2 years. I visit almost everyday for at least 4 hours. I can attest to the great care giving that Memory Haven provides. They are very caring. I particularly like the ratio of care givers to residents. No request goes unanswered. The rooms are kept very clean and each room has its own bathroom, very important! The activities are great and several times a month they have music provided by outside musicians. Very relaxing for the residents. On the days I can't be there, I am very comfortable that she will receive the best of care. The food is always excellent and in fact my wife has gained several pounds and is now on a diet! I have and will continue to recommend Memory Haven Sumner to anyone that ask.
