Meadow Lakes

If you have ever wondered what the Garden of Eden might have looked like, I suggest that you visit Meadow Lakes in Hightstown, a continuing care residential community. I am 85 years old. Yes, old. And not delighted by this part of my journey here on Earth. However, coming to Meadow Lakes has made the journey not only bearable but exciting and fun sometimes. Meadow Lakes is inside of an arboretum, majestic trees everywhere, and Joe Greipp, our Arboretum Director, understands and tends the whole beautiful outdoors with passion and love. Lots of chipmunks, squirrels, birds and, feeding on my birdfeeder right now, hummingbirds. So much life all around us! I like to swim, in the summer in the outdoor pool and in the winter in the indoor one. Bill, our lifeguard, kindly offered to fix my phone problems while I was swimming. He also rescues drowning honeybees who like the beautiful flowering myrtle trees and accidentally land in the water. Inside, I’ve fixed up a nice place for myself. True, I’ve had to downsize considerably, but it still feels very much like home. There is a whole bunch of activities provided both by residents as well as by Meadow Lakes. It would be impossible to participate in all that’s available. There was what I considered to be a very nice dining room, which is now going through a major renovation to make it even nicer. We think of ourselves as extremely fortunate to have Eric Ghaul in charge of this home because he is so dedicated that when he was asked by someone recently who his boss was, his reply was: “The residents!” I have never heard anyone complain about Eric. Never. And that, I believe, is what makes this place so great. The staff seem to be happy here, which makes them like the residents, and to be helpful and kind to us. If you’re looking for senior living, I suggest that you look no further. Come to Meadow Lakes.

Great and amazing place to live very welcoming and comfortable was visiting and the staff were Vibrant and very committed to being very helpful and professional available thank you Meadow Lakes staff.

My Mother used to live at Meadow Lakes. She past away a week ago. I was unimpressed by the lack of caring by the management. They knew I was staying with her to take care of her. They didn't have the common sense or decency to come to the apartment and offer condolences. Actually they didn't offer any help in any way. They seem to only care about the cash coming in. I'm unimpressed and disappointed in their tactless attitudes. She thought some of those people were her friends. P. S. The food is still terrible.
