My mom has been at Maplewood for almost a year and has been very happy. We moved her up from Atlanta where she’d been living for 40 years so it was a big change. The staff could not be nicer. They are caring and kind and truly love the work they do. My mom has plenty of daily activities she’s involved in and has developed many sweet and supportive friendships. Getting old is hard; but this place makes it easier.

My mother is a resident at Maplewood, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the care she receives. Maplewood is a wonderful facility where the staff is extremely attentive to the residents’ needs. She actively participates in many of the available activities, including evening movies, walking, and dining in the beautiful dining room—which feels more like an upscale restaurant than a care facility. My mother also has a severe food allergy, and the staff has been excellent about ensuring her meals are safe, which gives us great peace of mind. I highly recommend Maplewood to anyone looking for high-quality assisted living for their loved ones.

The team at Maplewood at Newtown has been amazing! While my parents had reservations about moving into an assisted living facility, David and his crew have listened to my parents concerns and adjusted accordingly. They are now engaged in the community, enjoying themselves and as a result my brother and I are both relieved! Maplewood at Newtown is a beautiful and safe facility, has lots of amenities, numerous activities, and everyone always has a smile on their face. Thank you for making this difficult transition a smooth one!

Moving my mother-in-law from Atlanta, GA to Connecticut was complicated and stressful and from the moment she arrived at Maplewood in Newtown, things got easier. The staff is very experienced and capable and demonstrate genuine care for people. They were and continue to be welcoming and loving and this carries over into the culture among the residents. We feel a real sense of community every time we visit and are so grateful that Diane likes her new home so much. High praise for the staff and management at Maplewood -- 5-stars and thank you!
