My wife, Rosie, and I will be joining this community the first week of December. We have visited several independent living communities, and by far, this is our choice. We were received so very warmly by the community manager, Sherry Parr. She has gone above and beyond what you would expect receiving us as we are both totally blind and we were given ample time to familiarize ourselves with this venue thanks to Sherry. We look forward to becoming permanent residents, we have found that this is a very friendly place by how warmly we were received by current residents on our visits.

The Lodge has gone down hill since Atria took over a few years ago. The original staff was very welcoming and attentive to the needs of my mom but once the new group took over the caring and attention to details were forgotten. My mothers health declined severely over the last few months staying at the lodge and not once did I hear from the management - checking in on her status or for myself - walking by the office multiple times a day. The last few months were very difficult having her in hospice and the staff never said boo to offer any support. Cold and no commitment to caring is how I would describe it.

My mom has been a resident at the Lodge for about six years . In that time we have felt grateful for the exceptionally clean facility, the dedicated staff and the many activities. On multiple occasions my Mom has had emergency situation that were dealt with professionally and with compassion. Dealing with an aging population is very challenging but the staff at the Lodge do their best to provide a safe place that the residents can be proud of to call home.

The Lodge at Cold Spring was a welcoming community to our father during what would be his last few months of life. Jenny Cazares was professional beyond expectations and offered more care and warmth to all residents there. She is a font of knowledge with regards to all matters dealing with health care, plus lots of other useful information. After my initial introductory meeting with her, my siblings quickly felt at ease and contacted her directly with requests that were promptly delivered. She even visited our father in the hospital and in hospice as he approached his end-of-life stage, and her visits were truly welcomed by him, and us. Having her assistance at a time of unanticipated and highly stressful choices about our father's future was a godsend. She always inquired about any additional help she could give after initiating a topic and she chased down answers with deft professionalism. I strongly recommend The Lodge at Cold Spring. Jenny’s excellent proficiency as the Community Sales Director makes such a positive difference. We wish her all the best going forward.
