Some of the night staff are petty if you are focused on keeping your at manageable levels. It took almost an hour to get my pain meds which was already overdue. This review was posted haste. What happened to me was a mess up in communication. Since then I have come to realize it was an isolated incident. The staff here is really top notch, from the nursing staff right on to the therapists. The food is good and healthy. Therefore I formally recind the one star rating and give the facility a five star rating. I only hope the staff here can forgive a cantankerous old man's ravings.

My mother received excellent care. Since the reviews seem to be 5 stars or within the last year several 1 stars, I would recommend you checkout the Medicare facilities rankings. You will find that Kingston has the highest quality ranking score.

My loved one was placed in hospice care at Kingston Care Center, and the experience was extremely distressing. Staff were often unresponsive, basic hygiene and comfort needs were neglected, and communication was poor. It felt as though dignity and compassion were missing in every way. I had to even get him water myself I have reported these concerns to the state for investigation. Families deserve to know what to expect when choosing a care facility. I strongly urge others to proceed with caution and closely evaluate care before placing a loved one here.

The neglect, ignorance and rudeness of staff is appalling. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t send a stray dog to Kingston. My parents were there recently for rehab for 3 1/2 weeks. The nurses and most of the aides were horribly neglectful concerning my mother. One aide throwing a rag at her and telling her to ‘clean herself up’. One of the nurses, named Susan, should not be working as a nurse. She was rude, sarcastic and neglectful. Her condescending tone with our family was uncalled for. After Mom contracted pneumonia while there, she also contracted Covid from Kingston. They let the pneumonia go too long without reevaluating her. She ended up in ER per our request, where they discovered she had been aspirating food and liquid into her lungs, and now had double pneumonia. They also did a skin check, discovering huge bed sores, which they photographed. Mom died 5 days later. A woman who went there for rehab to walk again DIED. Let that sink in. This facility should be closed down immediately. Do NOT let your loved ones go there. They seem like nice people at first, but once in facility they change. This a horrible place.
