My husband relocated to Kalama Heights in December 2023, a decision that has proven highly beneficial for both of us. After residing in our Maalaea condominium for 21 years, we decided it was time to simplify our lifestyle and move to a community offering essential amenities. Although we retain ownership of the condo with our daughter, which is now available as a vacation rental, Kalama Heights has provided an ideal living arrangement that meets our requirements. Our residence is a spacious one-bedroom apartment equipped with individually controlled air conditioning. The community offers three meals daily, each featuring a range of options to accommodate diverse preferences; the freshly baked taro rolls at lunch are particularly noteworthy. Complimentary washers and dryers are accessible 24 hours a day, and weekly community activities foster social engagement among residents. While we continue to own a personal vehicle, many residents utilize the complimentary transportation service for medical appointments and shopping trips to local destinations such as Target, Walmart, Longs, and Safeway. The exterior of the property was recently repainted, and the pool area has been refurbished. A notable advantage is the property's proximity—just two blocks—to the Kalama Park Beach Walk, allowing for daily walks in Maui’s favorable climate. We are extremely satisfied with our new home at Kalama Heights. Kalama Heights stands out as an inviting, well-maintained community that truly caters to its residents. The staff is attentive, and a wide range of amenities make daily life comfortable and enjoyable. Activities are thoughtfully organized each week, encouraging neighbors to connect and participate. For those seeking a relaxed and convenient lifestyle in retirement, Kalama Heights is an exceptional choice.

I love living at Kalama Heights community here in Kihei on Maui! I retired and made a point of securing a “forever home” to live out my retirement years in the warm sun and close to the beach .The Aloha life on island is great for unwinding, relaxing and renewing. There are plenty of amazing cultural sites and events to enjoy very near. There are several floor plans available ranging from studios to a few 2bed/2bath units to suit many different needs. There is a newly renovated full size swimming pool and hot tub for exercises or to just enjoy! The best part? No cooking! Widely diverse meals with multiple options for your personal tastes are served 3 times a day. Salad and fresh rolls daily for midday meal and who wouldn’t enjoy freshly made soups everyday to start your nightly meal. Great homemade desserts are provided daily and sometimes Roselani ice cream ! And housekeeping is free! Weekly light cleaning, vacuuming, fresh towels are provided.its the best feeling to walk into a clean apartment! Washer/dryers are provided for free self laundry option Some floor plans have in unit washer and dryers Mostly the staff are so friendly and helpful! The community is a beautiful place to enjoy and call home

I moved my mom into Kalama Heights in June 2023. It was challenging for her to face moving into a new space but it has been a blessing. The highlights are the caring staff especially Lisa Mark. She is a true gem who cares dearly for the residents! Angie, who provides light house keeping is great! I also really appreciate the extra services offered through ‘Ohana Care Maui. I live on island but they provide daily medication, meal delivery and companionship. Jessika from ‘Ohana Care was very supportive in helping me begin these services. The downside of Kalama Heights is the lack of timely response to maintenance requests by administration. I have seen recent improvements since Rolando started in maintenance. I am there once a week and find the residents to be delightful! I have never been concerned about my mom’s safety which is the bottom line for me.

This facility has been a blessing to our family. About a year ago I contacted Tim from Kalama Heights about an interest in this facility. Tim invited my husband and I to come visit and gave a tour. Knowing this would be a future decision to be made for my husbands step father Larry. We were totally impressed with the facility and Tim's professional and insight views. He kept in contact with me on a regular basis through email through out the last year. His constant contact was so appreciated. Now here we are and we have made it full circle. My husbands step father is now a resident and loves it there. Manny and Lisa also were a big part in making Larry's transition so smooth. A positive experience all the way around at Kalama Heights.
