My Mother's care at Juniper has been good insofar as Staff are able to communicate with her. Because of her severe hearing deficit and thus inability to communicate well, she seems to feel lost at times. Despite being invited to activities, I'm told she often declines, I'm sure, because she can't hear so can't participate. If possible, I ask for more attention to her hygiene -- hands & fingernails clean, dentures brushed, hair combed. But I sense her resistance sometimes, too, so all in all, I'm VERY HAPPY with Juniper Village as her home, and thank you to all of you!!!

My wife has lived at Juniper Village in Aurora (JVA) for 16 months due to advanced dementia. She’s done very well there, I visit several times a week and I’ve been very happy with the environment and care she’s received. JVA is a very homey and comfortable place and caregivers and management are great at engaging with residents and family. The large open areas inside and outside, daily activities, and good healthy food allow residents to be as active as they’re able. JVA only does memory care, and with medical and nursing support easily available as needed they are able to smoothly manage even difficult cases. I definitely recommend JVA, especially for more challenging dementia cases - we were referred there by several other places so they are obviously well regarded in the care community.

Juniper is an amazing assisted living facility for memory care, that provides top-notch care and support for its residents. The staff at Juniper are incredibly kind, compassionate, and always go above and beyond to ensure the well-being and happiness of the residents. The facility itself is beautifully maintained and offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The range of activities and amenities available at Juniper is impressive, providing residents with opportunities for socializing, staying active, and pursuing their interests. The management team at Juniper is outstanding! They are incredibly attentive, responsive, and dedicated to ensuring that residents receive the best possible care and support. They truly go above and beyond to create a warm and inclusive environment for everyone. The management team is always available to address any concerns or questions and they take the time to listen and understand the needs of both residents and their families as well as their team remembers! Their commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of their work. Kudos to the management team at Juniper for their exceptional leadership and dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of their residents! 🌟👏Overall, Juniper Village of Aurora is a fantastic place that truly feels like a home away from home for its residents. I’ve been a hospice chaplain in Denver for 10 years and have been probably 100 different facilities. This one used to be my very favorite facility, and I had planned to put my mom there when she was in need of memory care. I told everyone that and encouraged many families over the years to place their loved one there. Their CPAPs and CNE’s are awesome, loving and caring. However, they recently had an administrative change and there are clearly noticeable differences. The biggest is the ability to actually get a hold of anybody when you call. I have called several times in the past trying to reach somebody and only got a voicemail and no return call I have regularly been left standing in the vestibule, even in very very cold weather waiting for someone to come and open the door. Just a few months ago, I stood in the vestibule with Aurora police officer for 15 minutes. One of the residents had “escaped“ And apparently much of the staff was out driving around looking for them. I certainly understand That things happen, but for families to pay almost $9000 a month I think they should at least expect to be able to get a hold of someone who is caring for their loved one and get into the facility when they need to. Additionally, several of the staff continue to be my friends and have reported This has become a much less friendly and supportive place to work. A few years ago this facility was awarded one of the best places to work, I’m quite sure they wouldn’t receive that award now. If you put your love one there, I’m sure they will probably get sufficient care from, Qmaps and CNA’s, but I don’t think it’s worth the price anymore. I think the place is still worth checking out for yourself and their marketer, Jackie is a lovely and genuinely friendly person However, I would definitely recommend anybody considering this facility to do some comparison shopping first. Full disclosure, I have been band from this facility for expressing unrelated frustrations.
