This facility accepts who they want to accept regardless of whether you meet the criteria or not. My experience with them was jumping through hoops, rude employees with no compassion. I began this process of getting my sister in 4 months who met all qualifications but when it came to the assessment with the nurse (DAWN) she was anything other than helpful. Because, my sister (83 years old) was mumbling under her breath about the assessment process (DAWN) took it as if my sister didn’t want to move there and used trickery questions to confuse an 83 year old woman. Let me add that my sister has a disability. I spent so much time away from work to make sure that the facility had everything they needed and one person (a nurse) made the ultimate decision. NO. I am filling a complaint with the BBB because their process is broken. Point: my sister had already done an assessment and it was fine but there was a 60 day expiration date. Why, would they do the assessment first when the other three parts of the process were not completed? Totally unacceptable!

This is a horrible place for seniors. The management treats seniors like prisoners. The food is horrible. The medical help is abusive. The dining room is filthy. When seniors try to get help the management labels them as trouble makers. The seniors who live there are dear people and do not deserve to be treated so badly but they cannot fight back so they just take it because they don't think anyone can help them. I lived there for three years and I desperately tried to get them help but I was abused by the staff and the ones who did try to help were fired or left before they were. I still keep in touch with my friends I left behind and they tell me nothing has changed. It is so sad because it is a nice facility and the rooms are beautiful. I believe with new management this would be a wonderful place to live. Please someone rescue these seniors!

The laundry ruined a almost new dress and Kim promised me to replace it. It's been over 3 months and I have requested that she give me the 34.99 plus tax and I would buy a dress. Kim avoids me. Kim avoids any resident who tries to talk to o her. The housekeeping is a joke. I have to go behind her and clean. There's must not b any training because they sure don't know how to clean. Management needs to sneak in and listen to the residents talk and talk to some one on one. Admin will keep you away from us because we would tell you how it really is.

This place is an absolute joke. While it was clean in the beginning and had promise when moving in, Kim, the executive director, shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the elderly. She is rude and disrespectful to the residents. She and her employees have been heard making inappropriate and disrespectful remarks regarding tenants, including some staff that have been witnessed yelling at residents. For example, there's a bed bug issue, a commissioned petition was done, and signatures gathered by the residents were taken to address the issue. Kim, the executive director, indicated that all the residents who signed the petition had dementia and that they would not be doing anything about it. The food is inedible, with excuse after excuse that it's going to get better. The actions at Johnson Senior Care Suites are borderline elderly abuse. While I don’t take reviews to heart, you can’t help but notice the continued issues happening every year.
