My sister and I along with our mom, visited 7 assisted living/memory care facilities. Ivy Terrace Garden Grove was our choice for mom. It has wonderful staff who care about their clients and the facility is updated and clean! The building is on 2 acres, allowing client to go outside and walk around nicely manicured landscape. The activities have been amazing, keeping mom stimulated with exercise, art and learning activies, outings, frequent special events. There are quite a few higher functioning clients which was important for mom. The staff are so good with all levels. She has been a client for 3 months and I have been really impressed.

My mother & I took a tour of Ivy Terrace as we considered where best to place my father who had Alzheimers. We were so very-very impressed from the beginning. We were cordially welcomed from the very first moment, even with my name on a parking space and my name on a framed welcoming sign.!! Sarah Padron, Marketing Director who gave us the tour, was extremely cordial, kind, understanding, personable, very courteous AND professional. So were the other front office personnel, whose names I don't remember. The facility still appeared new and was immaculate, neat & tidy. We met a couple of the staff members who work with the patients and found them, too, friendly & personable. Observing personnel as they worked with residents, I noticed a kind, gentle, slow-moving management of that resident. It seemed like every resident at the time was up & about, dressed with hair combed. Most all were involved in some way.....and were called by name! The grounds are landscaped, manicured & beautiful, the courtyard a very attractive place for residents to enjoy the outdoors. Please keep in mind that this review is not from the perspective of a person whose loved one was placed. My dad passed March16 before we placed him anywhere. However, YOU may be looking into Ivy Terrace right now, and maybe this review will provide you with a very favorable description of our impressions when we first entered & toured Ivy Terrace.

This memory care community is a hidden gem in Garden Grove! The grounds offer beautiful walking paths, the building looked and smelled clean, and the staff were very hospitable. Residents seemed to be happy and having fun. We felt the warm welcome! Thanks, Ivy Terrace!

Wow! We looked for a few months for a place for mom. Better than expected our first visit to see mom. We gave her 2 weeks to adjust. Mom is 84 years old and has mild Alzheimer’s. She loves it and has established herself with friends and thw activities. Staff is friendly and facility is kept very clean. They had therapy dogs which were great today.
