Ivy Park is a wonderful place for many retirees. Lots of amenities and services. Menus, which I did not try, appear to be very good. I did not stay actually stay at this location so cannot comment on the room accomodations. Staff was excellent. As an independent living senior, I feel that the prices were a bit high, as I do not need as much help as residents who need much more attention and services to get around. I also eat a moderate amount of food to maintain my weight, so I wil not benefit from the amount of food available to the residents who are not on a weight control diet. My comments are not as positive because of my situation which is different from most other seniors who need a lot of support. Roger Dong, an 82 year old, mobile senior.

Ivy Park at Cathedral Hill is a gem in the heart of San Francisco—and Tam and his team make it shine! From the moment I stepped through the door, I was struck by the elegant, welcoming atmosphere. The full-service Vine at Ivy restaurant offers delicious, seasonal menus, and there’s a cozy library, fitness center, salon, and on-site theater that ensure residents enjoy vibrant, resort-style living. But what truly sets Ivy Park apart is Tam. He’s the perfect blend of professional, caring, and genuinely invested. He took the time to understand our unique needs, answered every question thoughtfully, and made the entire move-in process smooth and stress-free. Tam’s leadership is evident in the warm, responsive staff—from the front-desk team to housekeeping, maintenance, and caregivers—who all greet you by name and go above and beyond every day. In the days since, my loved one has thrived—not just because of the excellent amenities (visitor-friendly outdoor lounges, scheduled transport, weekly housekeeping, free Wi‑Fi), but because of the community feel that Tam and his team foster so well. Whether it’s a chat over coffee, a thoughtfully planned outing, or a friendly smile in the hallway, the personal touches here are everywhere. In short— if you’re looking for a senior living community that balances sophistication, safety, and soulful care, Ivy Park at Cathedral Hill is hands down one of the best. And at the center of it all is Tam—a true leader whose compassion and top-tier service make all the difference. Highly recommend!

Before my sister’s passing, The Ivy at Cathedral Hill helped protect quality of life for both me and my sister in her final months.  My sister was at the Ivy for much of the last year of her life as an Assisted Living resident then in the Evergreen with Laura and her staff.  I don’t know how to thank all of them for giving us those extra months together.

Beautiful facility and good care but be prepared for lack of financial transparency and potential major upside billing surprises. I was told studio would be $7692 and to expect about (estimate) $300 per month in care charges. I allowed in my mind for somewhat higher care (because it was an estimate) but the bill was $13,914, automatically withdrawn, with no detail or explanation (still no explanation after I inquired). I gave up & moved my sister to another facility. Maybe my case was an exception but it was shocking and the lack of explanation is hard to excuse. Thanks
