The dining experience is excellent — restaurant-quality meals served in a warm, inviting atmosphere. And one of the absolute highlights is Styles N Smiles Salon right inside the community. Having a professional salon on site is such a gift. Residents can enjoy hair services in a comfortable, uplifting space that helps them look and feel their best. It’s more than just a haircut — it’s confidence, dignity, and joy. The salon adds such a special touch to the overall experience at Independence Village. Families can feel confident knowing their loved ones are safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. My parents were residents at Independence Village of Plymouth and they could not have found a better home. Many thanks to Debbie Hall and all of the caring, respectful, thoughtful, friendly staff. They were always so helpful to myself being the daughter who wanted the best for her parents. I would trust Debbie and anyone who has looked out for my mom and dad's happiness there providing so much opportunity for constant friendships and so many fun things to do in a beautiful, clean, positive and encouraging environment. I had so much fun myself just going to see my parents in my interactions with everyone I came across before I even got to my parent's apartment. I would recommend IVP to anyone. Executive Chef Gerald Bailey is outstanding. He’s not only expanded the menu with a daily heart-healthy option, more fish selections, and a sugar-free dessert, but he’s also incredibly accommodating with special requests. He allows multiple modifications and prepares my meals exactly the way I order them every time. His willingness to adjust dishes has made it so much easier for me to manage my dietary needs—whether it’s blood sugar, carbohydrates, heart health, or overall calories. On top of all that, the food is consistently delicious. Highly recommend!
