Independence Village of Plymouth goes above and beyond in every possible way. This community is the perfect balance of elegance, comfort, and heartfelt care. The building is beautiful and welcoming, but what truly makes it shine is the people. The staff are attentive, compassionate, and genuinely invested in the well-being and happiness of every resident. The activities calendar is thoughtfully curated, keeping residents engaged, active, and socially connected. From events to outings to daily gatherings, there is always something meaningful happening. The dining experience is excellent — restaurant-quality meals served in a warm, inviting atmosphere. And one of the absolute highlights is Styles N Smiles Salon right inside the community. Having a professional salon on site is such a gift. Residents can enjoy hair services in a comfortable, uplifting space that helps them look and feel their best. It’s more than just a haircut — it’s confidence, dignity, and joy. The salon adds such a special touch to the overall experience at Independence Village. Families can feel confident knowing their loved ones are safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. Independence Village of Plymouth is not just a senior living community — it’s a place where residents truly thrive. Highly, highly recommend!

I know someone who is a current resident here. This is a good environment if one is mostly able to take care of themself. When it comes to more in-depth care, a reviewer named Lori Porter below said this and I agree with the following excerpt: "If your loved one needs a significant amount of care, go somewhere else. Corsocare (the in house care team) is disorganized and expensive, with inconsistent care". I've certainly witnessed the Corsocare team and cusine team to be extremely disconnected from one another and unorganized overall. It's extremely concerning because they need to work together to ensure meal items are correct and, even more critically, that meals are actually delivered to those who cannot go to the dining room. For example, I visited recently. My loved one did not receive certain items they had indicated on their meal tickets. Which, ok, what's a missing soup here and there? However, on another day they forgot the breakfast and lunch completely! Additionally, the staff are kind, but when doing wellness checks most are too quiet and seem to be in a rush. I witnessed multiple staff sort of just knock quietly, poke their head in the door, and turn to leave assuming everything was good before fully and thoroughly engaging with someone hard of hearing. Can not attest to the rest of Lori Porters review, but I sure hope not something my loved one has to experience.

The environment is warm, bright, and beautifully maintained — but what makes this community exceptional is the leadership and heart behind it. Debbie Hall is a phenomenal director. She leads with compassion, integrity, and a genuine commitment to every resident. It’s clear that her priority is always the well-being and happiness of the people who live there. She is present, approachable, and deeply invested — and that makes all the difference. You can feel that this community is guided by someone who truly cares. The staff consistently go above and beyond, treating residents with dignity and respect while creating meaningful opportunities for connection and joy. There is a real sense of community here — not just care, but belonging. I am so grateful for the peace of mind Independence Village gives to familes. If you’re looking for a place where your loved one will be cared for with heart, professionalism, and genuine kindness — this is it. I Highly recommend IVP! I WOULD DEFINITELY LIVE HERE! I LOVE THEM ALL!

My parents were residents at Independence Village of Plymouth and they could not have found a better home. Many thanks to Debbie Hall and all of the caring, respectful, thoughtful, friendly staff. They were always so helpful to myself being the daughter who wanted the best for her parents. I would trust Debbie and anyone who has looked out for my mom and dad's happiness there providing so much opportunity for constant friendships and so many fun things to do in a beautiful, clean, positive and encouraging environment. I had so much fun myself just going to see my parents in my interactions with everyone I came across before I even got to my parent's apartment. I would recommend IVP to anyone. Grateful for everyone at IVP.
