Imperial Palms Apartments

Highly disappointed. Recently moved to the area and was seeking out a 55+ community. Since I was unaware of where to start at, I used apartments.com to help me with my search. I was able to find a few fairly decent communities, however this one in particular stood out because it was advertised as smoke free on apartments.com So I went for it, along with the advertised amenities and the safety of the community, it is what I considered to be a perfect match for me. That was until a couple of weeks after moving in; my entire unit became consumed with cigarette smoke. When I first moved in, the temperature outside was extremely cold which is probably why I did not immediately notice the smell, however, as soon as the temperature outside increased, it was extreme smoke everywhere in the unit. I began having trouble breathing as I have severe asthma. I reached out to the front office via email to ask about the smoking policy and was informed that the building that I moved into was an entire smoking building, I questioned if the community was smoke free and was informed that it wasn’t entirely smoke free. I informed the front office that I have severe asthma and most definitely would have not moved into a smoking unit or smoking building for that matter. I then sent an email requesting to change units to a building that was not entirely a smoking building, the response that I received back was mind blowing, non empathetic and was apparently seeking a way to place blame on me as the resident. I had absolutely no way of knowing that the building that I was being moved into was a smoking building as I was under the impression that the community was smoke free based on advertisement on apartments.com Nonetheless, I was advised that my application was going to be reviewed and I would be reached back out to once it’s done. Not really sure what my application has to do with my request due to the severity of my health but I never heard a response back from anyone. Over a week later, and still no response back from the front office or the area manager that only responded to my original email, and never responded to my follow up email. I am left with no other option but to simply leave the community all together. I will not suffer in silence! At the least I would have expected a professional establishment to at the bare minimum attempt to relocate me to a building that would not put my health in further harm. As a result I had an asthma attack and found myself in the emergency room the same day and haven’t been able to stay inside the unit since. I am also disabled so now I am again preparing for another move. I am extremely disappointed in the treatment that I have received from this community and I encourage any future tenants to read all of the review carefully both old and new before moving into any community. I can only wish I had done the same for myself. Emails do not get responses, phone calls with left messages do not get responses. If they recognize your number in the front office, they will not answer your call. My second day in my unit, someone from the front office literally approached my front door and turned a key they had and opened my door while I was sitting in my unit. She claimed she didn’t know that the unit was rented. Following that incident, someone sent the maintenance man to my unit directly afterwards with someone on speaker phone and he stated to me that the unit hasn’t been rented and was questioning why I was in it. So I have been through a lot with this place since moving in and now this. I’m completely over it.

Quiet, clean and beautiful apartments and amenities! I love strolling through the Butterfly Garden and swimming in their pools. We are especially thankful for Shannon seeing us through our 1.5 years here. Candice was super helpful moving from one apartment to another and James and team take care of any repairs in the apartment! These apartments are like a fortress through the storms, too! We have been so blessed to find Imperial Palms.

This place has been heaven sent from the beginning process and so on. Allison has out done herself by showing us that anything is possible and also reminding us every step of that everything will be fine. This place is amazing . Everyone in the office welcome you in with a smile. Lately that’s been hard to find. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to live. Thank you lady’s so much

I moved in a week ago and I just love this place! I haven’t been able to attend any of the events they offer yet but there are a many things to choose from. If you’re looking for a 55+ apartment this is where you want to be! Two heated pools, quiet and much much more!
