My grandma was here for 6 months. We had to remove her, and take her to another place. The staff is great, my dad even worked there part time and liked it. My grandma enjoyed everything and everyone. Food was great, neighbors were great, staff was nice. Facility was nice. However, they got a new director who raised my grandmas rent/care need every month. Literally, every month of being there. The worst part is, with no added value. It’s not even like they added service, care or anything. It’s bait and switch. She started at $4,300 and by the time she moved out it was $5,300, and she was “1” point away from being raised another $600 to $5,900- almost $6,000. This is all within the first 6 months of moving in! We had a 3rd party doctor give my grandma a clear bill of health, and their doctor gave a clean bill of health and care needed. They told her use a walker, then when she did, held it against her and assigned “points”. If Anna is the director , look out folks!. She’s all about raising revenue. Lots of people leaving, moving out, can’t afford it! Took my grandma to fort Atkinson. She’s receiving better care and facilities and at a fraction of the cost! Don’t go here unless you have disposable money. For the record, we did try work with Anna the new director (2025) and her boss the regional director (mark) , with no changes. So we did try work with them. My dad ultimately had to quit working there too (he was retired , working part time anyway) just because this whole situation upset him so much. Update: I reached out to the email listed below on the response with multiple attempts and received no response.

Because they all operate in the same area under the same name, Google considers the Huntington Place senior living apartments, assisted living center and memory care center to be the same business. So when reading reviews about Huntington Place, try to discern which residence is being evaluated. The senior living apartments at Huntington Place are comfortable and spacious. The neighbors are friendly and the apartment is convenient to many stores. However, the management of this complex leaves a lot to be desired. My mother lived in the senior living apartments from 2014 to 2023. The security function at the front door has been broken for years. Residents cannot simply communicate with someone over an intercom and buzz them in. Rather, the senior citizens must walk through the three-story building to the front door to let in a visitor. Although the complex was recently recarpeted, new artwork put on hallway walls and hallway lighting improved, those were the first real changes to common areas in nine years. Some new appliances were installed in apartments in the last year or so, but the new stove and dishwasher in my mother’s unit were not much better than the appliances that were replaced. My mother frequently complained about the length of time it took to get a response to a request for service. It could take weeks to get a service technician to address an issue, such as a problem with the air conditioner or furnace. She never chose to complain because she feared being evicted or incurring an even more sizeable rent increase than the average $75 monthly increase imposed on residents every year. After my mother died, my sister and I got to experience the unpleasantness of dealing with the non-responsive staff. Calls and emails were ignored, which forced me to make a personal visits to the facility in order to speak with managers. My mother’s lease required a 30-day notice to vacate the apartment, but Wisconsin law allows an apartment complex to continue collecting rent for 60 days upon the death of the occupant. We could have easily vacated the apartment within 30 days, but Huntingon Place insisted on having an additional month of rent. During that second month, while still under lease, the staff illegally entered my mother's apartment without providing notice and literally ripped appliances from their positions, removed all lights and outlets, and lowered the thermostat to an uncomfortable level -- all while we were still paying for utilities. The staff even removed the toilet and placed it in the shower stall. My mother complained frequently of staff members entering her apartment without proper notice, even using a key to open the door without knocking while she was inside. Huntington Place failed to refund my mother's security deposit, which was equivalent to two months of rent, nor did the company provide any explanation as to why it was being withheld. As a result, we will likely need to initiate action in small claims court to seek resolution. If you chose to rent here, be sure to keep a log of every contact made with the apartment staff and keep your family appraised of your situation, too. You make need an advocate to compel the Huntington Place staff to live up to their promises and your expectations.

Terrible place to be. The residents are not given the proper level of care they deserve. The place is filthy. Memory care units are left disgusting. Activities are not a thing to stimulate the residents with dementia, instead they place items on tables for the residents to go to if they remember. Residents are left soiled, and even going into other people’s personal bathrooms to relieve themselves making messes of their fecal matter. Many workers are not following safety protocols while transferring their residents as well as taking care of them. Many of the employees sit in the nurses stations and scroll on their phones without a single care for a resident. My mother always talks about how she is left soiled for hours as well as other residents crying out for help even when they have fallen and are on the floor. Do not send your loved ones here. People act like they care about your family member, only to collect rent on them. Very unprofessional nurses as well. They will ignore phone calls, ignore their staff, and then act like nothing ever happened. The executive director is not a single bit better either as she fails to return phone calls or correct things with her residents or families. This place needs to be shut down!

I cannot express how grateful I am for the incredible support Zach at Huntington Place provided during my mom's move to an assisted living facility. We were on a tight timeline, and Zach made the entire process so much easier. He kept in constant contact with us, updating us on where we were in the process and what the next steps were. He was always just a text or phone call away and responded quickly to any questions we had. Zach’s expertise, knowledge, and cheerful attitude made such a difference during what could have been a stressful experience. His dedication and care truly shone through, and I am so thankful for everything he did to ensure the move went smoothly. Definitely recommend Huntington Place!
