Extremely disappointed with the way this facility is run. It’s hard to trust a place with your loved one when it feels like leadership is more focused on bringing money in than improving the quality of care residents are receiving. The constant staff turnover says a lot. Residents, especially those with dementia, deserve consistency and familiar faces not a revolving door of employees because good staff don’t want to stay. The food quality was also unacceptable. My parent struggled to find meals that were actually enjoyable and appetizing. Dementia residents deserve dignity and real, quality meals not whatever is easiest and cheapest to serve. Cleanliness was another major concern. A place caring for vulnerable adults should be held to a much higher standard, and families should not have to worry about whether basic sanitation and upkeep are being prioritized. Overall, very disappointing. Families deserve transparency, residents deserve better care, and this facility has a lot of improvements to make.

I have lived in my pleasant, comfortable apartment on third floor for eleven plus years. I loved my home in the woods seven miles from here and is now the home of my son and wife. As long as I can drive I can enjoy nature to its fullest. I can also do so here as long as I can walk the path and come home to be myself after a long life of being and caring for others. Life is good!

MEMORY CARE UNIT! On Saturday, July 18, residents were served ham that appeared discolored and did not look safe or appetizing to eat. For dinner, residents were served pizza with orange juice, which seems like a poor meal combination, especially for elderly residents who may be prone to acid reflux or heartburn. While meal preferences can vary, nutrition and thoughtful meal planning should be a priority in a memory care facility. I never see them serve fruit or any kind of decent side. Another recent incident that was very upsetting was seeing my grandmother sitting outside in nearly 90-degree heat wearing a heavy, fuzzy sweatshirt. Residents in memory care often rely on staff to monitor their comfort and safety, and situations like this should not be overlooked. Our family is paying thousands of dollars each month with the expectation that our loved one will receive attentive, compassionate, and consistent care. Instead, it feels like there is a constant turnover of employees, and many staff members seem unsure of what is happening or what they should be doing. The lack of consistency is concerning and directly impacts the quality of care residents receive. Leadership also appears to be lacking. The director is rarely seen in the memory care unit, making it difficult to believe there is adequate oversight of the day to day operations. When the state visited the facility, it was very noticeable that suddenly the memory care unit was fully staffed. That timing was difficult to ignore. If the facility is capable of providing that level of staffing during an inspection, residents deserve that same level of care every day not only when inspectors are present. Unannounced inspections would provide a much more accurate picture of how this facility truly operates. There have also been serious safety concerns. Residents have reportedly left the secured memory care unit on more than one occasion, which is extremely alarming. In another incident, a resident was left sitting in a soaked adult brief. No resident should ever have to endure that level of neglect. Families entrust this facility with the care of some of the most vulnerable members of our community. The current level of care, communication, supervision, and leadership is simply not acceptable. Significant changes need to be made, beginning with stronger leadership, improved staffing consistency, and greater accountability. The residents deserve dignity, respect, and safe, compassionate care every single day not just when someone is watching. Not to mention, there is never any activities going on!! Kelly used to plan activities and the residents loved her..now? Nothing. The residents are bored. July 19th, No lunch for residents..because the ovens are broke AND my grandmother has not had a shower in ten days (asked a worker, nothing documented). This is NEGLECT!

Huntington Place is well taken care of, offers lots of activities and has a nice staff. The residents are friendly. I feel the vetting process could be more thorough.
