When it was time for my mother to move to assisted living, we looked at a number of places and decided on Heartis. The rooms are clean and well lit. There is plenty of space in the one bedroom for a queen-sized bed and a cozy living room. The refrigerator is 3/4 size (most places had dorm refrigerators), which nicely accommodates snacks and drinks. The outdoor spaces are safe and well-maintained. There is always an attendant at the front desk. The dining room is surrounded by windows and hold enough tables for communal or private meals. There is a strong effort to provide a variety of healthy, freshly made meal choices. The staff is always friendly and answers questions to the best of their knowledge. Laundry and apartment cleaning are done weekly for the residents. My mom's apartment is clean and her laundry needs (yes, she has them) are looked to. Each resident has a call button they can push if they need assistance. My mom has used it several times. She is 89 and prone to falls. This service is excellent. Every person who has responded to her distress has done so with empathy, respect, and gentle humor. They always call me and keep me updated. Mom has had a few incidents that have left her with wounds. She takes a blood thinner and her skin is thin and subject to tears. The Heartis nursing staff - in particular Katy - have been wonderful about staying on top of these minor injuries, being innovative when bandaging and treating, helping it heal as quickly as possible. Mom can get confused and sometimes a little agitated, but they treat her with such gentle care. I appreciate that she is so well taken care of in my absence. Recognizing that a parent or family member are no longer able to live alone is a part of life. I am grateful that we are able to afford the great care that Heartis provides.

I recently moved my aunt to Heartis. Being 1,000 miles away is not easy, but I am impressed with the nurses. They constantly communicate to me and answer any questions I have. They are a caring group that are putting their residents first. Thanks! Don’t hesitate to move your loved one to this facility.

Pretty place until you are there on the inside. - I wish I could give 0 stars - promised a lot - nothing delivered after moving in. Just upped cost of care and no extra care - they call you to take care of everything - send to hospital for everything and then do not supply transportation back to faciity - what if the person has no one to transport. 3 falls in less than 3 months - this is not acceptable - for the extra charges for care

Had such a wonderful experience with them caring for my husband. I had a very poor experience at another facility but Heartis Village has restored my faith.
