Hampton Manor of Taylor

My sister lived here for about six months, and honestly, five and a half months of that was far too long. In the beginning, everyone was friendly and welcoming, but as time went on, it became apparent that the level of care and concern did not match the kindness we experienced at first. The food was a major concern. Most meals appeared to be frozen, prepared foods, and the portions were extremely small—portions that might be appropriate for children, but certainly did not seem sufficient or nutritious for seniors. Unfortunately, expressing concerns about the food seemed to put you on everyone’s “blacklist,” rather than prompting someone to listen and address the issue. Medication management was another serious concern. Medications were administered by various staff members, with no RN consistently involved. My sister had to repeatedly advocate for herself regarding her insulin dosage. At times, she had to question what she was being given and explain that the dosage was too much. Thankfully, she was alert enough to understand her own needs and speak up for herself. There were also repeated problems with her laundry. The facility lost a significant amount of her clothing, which was frustrating and completely avoidable. What bothered me most about all of these issues was that they could have been handled differently if there had simply been more genuine care, attention, and accountability. I also found the business office manager to be flippant and condescending in her interactions. That is especially concerning because leadership sets the tone for an entire facility. When those in positions of authority do not demonstrate compassion, respect, and accountability, that attitude can easily trickle down throughout the organization. Thankfully, my sister was only there temporarily while recovering from surgeries, regaining her strength, and preparing to move into her own condo. I am grateful she was able to recognize when something wasn't right and advocate for herself. Not every senior has that ability, and that is why these concerns matter so much.

From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth and care that the staff brings to every resident and visitor. The environment is clean, welcoming, and beautifully maintained—it feels like home. A huge shoutout to Jeanna and Mindy, who go above and beyond. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion make such a difference. They take the time to listen, support, and ensure that every need is met with a smile. It’s rare to find people who care so deeply, and Hampton Manor is lucky to have them. If you’re looking for a place where your loved ones will be treated like family, Hampton Manor of Taylor is the perfect choice.

Upon reading the reviews... If anyone has any doubt as to the faculty and the care within, please come and see for yourselves. I have visited there several times and at different times of the day, I can honestly say that the care is above reproach, facility is always super clean, staff always attentive and friendly. You feel like you came into a family home, welcomed ❤️ 💙 💜 Residents always are happy. I have interacted with different department staff and residents, honestly can't think of a bad thing to say. Staff always smiles and says hello as you pass them. My mother is in a nursing facility and can't medically come here or she would already be there. Activities are always fun, engaging, and enjoyed by all. Property always well maintained. Love the bird... and he is very well taken care of and healthy, loves to chatter and interact with everyone. A beautiful facility but unfortunately the new management taking place is creating a toxic environment for some of the best staff members who have made this place feel like home for the residents. It is a shame that those in superior position such as Michelle and her colleagues abuse their power and mistreat the workers who commit and dedicate their time, energy and even their own resources for the betterment of the elderly living here. More turn over of staff than your local mcdonald’s has and their is reason for that when leadership responsibilities are not equally shared and an effort to improve positive relationships. Sad to see many elderly moving out. Clean and brand new facility with so much potential if it were in better hands of leadership/ownership. my loved one was constantly approached to join hospice when in reality their was no apparent need for it. This seems to me very sketchy as they still do not have a nurse hired and cannot seem to keep one hired. The receptionist is always so friendly and approachable. The acitivies coordinator goes above and beyond to provide a friendly and welcoming environment during activities/events! i have the utmost respect for those who put their heart into this place that often gets missed and mistreated by management as is visible.
