The grounds are meticulously maintained, and the interior is both elegant and comfortable—truly a place that feels like home. What sets The Grand apart is not just its stunning environment, but the incredible staff. Every team member I’ve interacted with is compassionate, attentive, and professional. You can tell they genuinely care about the residents, going above and beyond to ensure everyone feels valued and supported. The activities offered are absolutely wonderful! There’s always something engaging going on—from music, art, and fitness classes to social gatherings and outings. These events are thoughtfully planned to enrich residents' lives and provide a true sense of community. I toured the community with Angela, and she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. What stood out more was how she knew each resident by name and interacted with them in such a caring, respectful way. The community itself is beautiful, with a modern and inviting feel, and I especially loved the private courtyard - it feels peaceful and tucked away while still being so convenient to the highway. Amazing community all around!

My mom has been a resident at The Grande for over 2 months now. The staff is amazing. Food is wonderful. Rooms are very nice. They plan some amazing activities and my mom loves sitting outside during the nice days. My only complaint is how long it takes to get "buzzed in and out" of the memory care wing. There are times when I am short on time and waiting for someone to let you in and out takes much too long. All in all, I am grateful for The Grande and the care that my mom gets.

The Grande at South Portland is a beautiful, high-end setting that makes a strong first impression. The building itself is modern and thoughtfully designed, with a hospitality-forward feel that many families appreciate. I’ve had the chance to get to know the leadership team through our shared work in senior care—and I can say with confidence that the administrator and sales director both care deeply about doing right by residents and families. This is a unique option in the South Portland area, especially for those seeking a more luxurious environment.
