The Gardens of Gainesville will always hold a special place in my heart. Not only did my grandmother thrive there, but the relationships we both built along the way are memories I'll always cherish. Thank you Team Gardens!

My first experience was with my mother as a resident of the Holbrook. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were many residents and it was an active community. After Mother passed and my mother in law needed a place to move from Virginia I recommended the Gardens. Due mostly to Covid there are fewer residents. There have been multiple staff changes over the year that my mother in law has lived there. What has not changed is the caring atmosphere and beauty of the facility. There is a homey, warm feeling that is due to the friendly staff and the design of the building. There are fireplaces and cozy sitting areas on every floor. On Tuesdays and Thursdays residents can invite their friends and relatives for lunch in the deli. A variety of events are posted daily. The hair dresser that is available on site two days a week is so kind and helpful. The four star rating was due to the fact that there have been multiple staff changes over the past year and the quality of the food. The quality of the food has not been consistent although in the past month I have seen an improvement. Overall, Gardens of Gainesville is a lovely facility and I feel with the new staff changes will be a five star again soon.

When it became time to put my dad into a memory care facility, my brother and I toured every option in Gainesville. Each had their +/- but we ultimately chose Gardens of Gainesville. He was a resident from July 2024 to May 2025. Initial Impression: The facility has a nice southern charm and warm vibe. Jamie L. was extremely helpful during the transition process, helping us understand some of the best practices to acclimate him. Resident Care: This is where the Gardens truly stood out. The staff genuinely cared about my dad. They got to know his habits, personality and worked to keep him happy and comfortable. Maintenance: Needs improvement. Requests took a lot of time to be resolved. Staff: There are many that contributed to a positive experience but I do have to mention a few special people. Chris: A caregiver in the memory unit is one of a kind. He is patient, kindhearted and has an uplifting spirit. Alex: The director of memory care was always checking on us to make sure any needs were heard, even after my dad’s passing. Zeke: A med tech at the facility was especially attentive to my dad’s care as we went through the hospice process. He always took extra time to speak to us, including my dad even though we were not sure he could understand. Going through this process isn’t pleasant no matter where you are. The Gardens did a great job making my dad’s final time on earth peaceful.

Care was inconsistent and barely provided at times especially on the weekends, meds were not given and family was not notified of the issue, dad was constantly in the hospital. Not well equipped for people needing a higher level of care. Things did improve but compared to where he is now it the improvements only made a slight difference. Not a very good experience.
