The facility looks beautiful, but I was honestly shocked and disappointed to learn that they do not have a single wheelchair on-site not even for emergencies. This is an assisted living facility for elderly and disabled seniors, yet there are no basic mobility or emergency tools available to help residents move safely, even within the building. This lack of preparedness is deeply concerning and takes away from what could otherwise be a great place. Resident safety should never be optional.

We were invited to do a Holiday show for the residents and their guests. I have to say how impressed I am with the staff and facilities. Likewise the guests formed a vibrant community and a wonderful audience. I have to say this is an example of a happy leisure community. My hat’s off to them.

My mother passed away last December after living at Fairwinds for several years. She was very well taken care of and the facility is bright and very clean. Her unit had big windows with views of the mountains and lots of light. The staff were lovely. The manager was responsive to any questions or concerns. We were so lucky to find this facility and I highly recommend it.

I can not say enough about the staff at Fairwinds. My father and his wife were there for over 5 years, during which time my dad’s wife passed away. He continued to live there several additional years. The staff, everyone included, were consistently kind, attentive, flexible, responsive, jumping in to solve problems. At that point my dad was alone and they embraced him. I live in another state and it provided me great comfort knowing that he lived in such a warm community. Long after my dad had to move because he needed a higher level of care, I would encounter staff members who continued to asked after him and send warm greetings. My wife was in the senior care industry for years and was overwhelmingly impressed not only professionally but with the extent too which staff cared for and accommodated residents. I want to be clear, no one asked me to write a review. I just feel compelled to share a glimpse of my experience. Heck, I want to move in!!!
