This review is long overdue, but we have had three huge losses within 2 months and it’s been hard. My mom, my brother in law and my Uncle. If I could give 0 stars I would. I would not recommend Emerald Valley Assisted Living. My Uncle passed away on May 7, 2025 and two of his collectible model cars were stolen from his room within 36 hours of the facility calling me to clear his room. The items were in his room the night before on May 10, 2025. When we came in the morning on May 11, 2025, they were gone. The blue model car was given to him by my mom when they were young, she passed away weeks before him. They were very sentimental. My Uncles room door was locked so needed a key to enter. Only two people had access, the person helping us (who we trust) and the facility. The facility only went as far as asking their employees if they knew anything and took their word. They are avoiding very important points like a key was needed to enter his room and one of their employees was dishonest, which we proved. They have cameras, yet they are all non working which is concerning in itself. I talked to the Executive Director, Regional Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer. The President never responded to me. The lack of empathy or concern is repulsive. None of them care that this is happening in their facility. From the beginning they tried offering me money for the stolen items. I felt like they just wanted to get rid of me. After months of trying to get answers and for them to investigate more, I couldn’t emotionally handle it so accepted the money only for the principal. For the safety of the residents and for employee theft, they should really have working cameras and either code door locks or sign in sheets for all employees before entering a residents room. They also are not thorough on visitors signing in. I also thought it to be odd that about a month after this happened, the facility had an old car show event. My family and I are heartbroken for the loss of these sentimental items.

My Mother lived at Emerald Valley for a year and a half. And I can tell you that the staff was like family to all of us. They took good care of Mom during the pandemic lockdown and took excellent care of her before and when she passed. In this photo she was showing us the gifts that she got from the staff last Christmas.

Such an amazing staff. They have been awesome with our mom. I don't know how they can keep such happiness in a place often filled with sadness. They are greatly appreciated.

The administration and staff at Emerald Valley were like family to us for 2 years. They were patient and understanding throughout our grandmother’s care level transitions, and worked very well together with our hospice team. They always made us feel welcome and grandma feel warm and comfortable. I highly recommend them.
