Discovery Village Melbourne Reviews

Discovery Village of Melbourne is really a great place! I’ve been to many facilities like this and Discovery definitely stands out! The leadership staff is amazing. They really care about the residents and it shows. They go out of their way to help in whatever way possible. All the activities they do is a great way to get the residents out and about and socializing. I would definitely recommend a tour.

I visited this facility with my daughter, and I'm so glad I did. We were visiting a family friend, and I had never been here before. I was greeted by a very friendly face and the whole place was welcoming. When it's time for me to consider living at a place like this, Discovery will be at the top of my list. The food looked great, and the place was clean. Our friend has lived there for about 2 years and said she absolutely loves it. Bravo Discovery! Keep up the good work you are doing!

Discovery Village is a beautiful place. I have visited several senior living facilities in Brevard County, and this is my favorite. I provide private duty care services to one of the residents and I have to say it feels like home every time I come here.

One of the worst places you could send a loved one. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear this place is more concerned about profits than people. The building is full of mold you can literally smell it in certain areas, and it poses a serious health risk. The kitchen is an absolute disaster, completely unsanitary, and should be inspected by the health department. The residents here are not receiving the care they deserve. Many of the staff members are clearly undertrained and overwhelmed, and not equipped to handle the level of assistance these residents need. Yet, management continues to accept residents who do not qualify for assisted living, just to fill rooms. After speaking with staff, during an employee meeting, it was said plainly and unapologetically that their priority is to fill every apartment to maximize revenue — not to ensure quality care. This place is wildly overpriced for what little it offers. They’ll tell you anything you want to hear during the tour just to get you or your family member moved in, but the reality doesn’t match the promises at all. Residents have no real privacy, and some are left in unsafe or unsanitary conditions for extended periods of time. It borders on neglect and abuse. If you care about your loved one’s dignity, safety, or well-being look elsewhere. No one deserves to be treated this way, especially not our elderly family members.
