Our appointment visit was very professional and covered all aspects of the different plans offered to us. The friendly atmosphere of the residents was an example of the congenial atmosphere of the staff and residents relationship… our sister is going to be very happy here.

Clean facility. Great food. Balcony to sit outside. Many activities every day. Bible Study Wednesday morning. Church Sunday morning. Smells clean.

The location is absolutely stunning reminds me of a resort. The staff were so very friendly and welcoming. Mrs. Castillo welcomed me as of if I was a family member or a long lost friend who we haven’t seen each other in years. The dedication she has for the community and her residents is remarkable. She knows everyone by name and engages in conversations with them. She was very thorough with the details of the rooms and living situations. She offered to help with other resources if need be. Just overall hands down if I could live there I would. But I am looking for a place for my father. Definitely will be choosing Desert Rose hands down, compared to any other place in Yuma. Thank you Marlene I truly love to see someone LOVE what they do for a living and your proof of that!!

My 96 year old Mother has lived at Desert Rose since December of 2021 and is very happy she chose this facility. She has a studio apartment and finds it's got all the living space and storage she needs. She especially likes the extensive cable TV package included in the rent. The common areas are always clean and have recently been renovated. Upon walking in Desert Rose looks like the lobby of a nice hotel! The manager Rodger and his staff are the best. His team has gone the extra mile for Mom. Although she is fully independent she is legally blind. Little acts of help do not go unnoticed by our family. Food service is a special treat here. The restaurant offers 3 meal per day. In addition to the daily menu, Mom enjoys the option of the anytime menu. She's not a breakfast eater so I can't rate it. However, I've enjoyed many meals with her including everyday and and special occasions. All tasty and not bland mushy institute food. And the desserts...to die for. Last week I had a Boston cream pie cupcake that I've been raging about. I was too embarrassed to ask for a second one. I would definitely recommend Desert Rose to any one looking for an independent living community.
