As a nurse myself, I am completely disgusted. I demand that this be removed from the Danbury website, "They want the flexibility to age in place, even if their care needs change." They claim that this is a reason for your family member to move in. That is a lie. Absolutely abhorrent! Huge mistake! I left a five-star review a few months ago, because my grandma moved in about 3 years ago and she absolutely loved it. She made friends, she decorated her room to be her own, it truly became her home. She was so excited to spend the rest of her days here. She was living independently there and then, she fell, had surgery, and then found out she had a mass on her lung. She decided she wanted hospice at home. Danbury has decided that she doesn't get to go home, they decided that at 93 years old she wasn't allowed to make the decision to spend the rest of her days at home. Despite around the clock family involvement and an outside hospice agency agreeing to do all of the care, my grandmother was not allowed to go back to the place she knew and loved. My mom fought for days, even spoke to the president of Danbury himself, and my grandma is still not allowed to go home. It is absolutely disgusting that this place would claim to be a home for the elderly in their final years.

My father moved here back in June. We are so pleased with the care, food, friendliness, and professionalism of the entire staff. I live out of state and it really helps me to know that my dad is being taken care of. Strongly suggest you consider Danberry Talmage. And oh, by the way, the food is fantastic. Chad, the cook is excellent. Right now I’m eating his sweet and spicy chili and it is the best!

My mom has been in Danybury for almost 2 years now. They take good care of her. She has a shower, clean clothes and her room is tidy. We could not ask for more. The staff is very nice to everyone. They interact with all their residents. They have activities for them, they have church on Sundays and by the way did I say my mom is in the memory care unit. They do everything for her. We were lost until we found these wonderful people.

My mom has been a resident for over two years. She loves it! Til now!!! She has had a 3 week hospital stay and now Danbury wont let her come back to her home with hospice care. Because she's a liability. Though the decision makers wouldnt use that word with me, thats what came down to. She's 93 and all she wants is go "home" at danbury. Enjoy family and danbury friends- her home. Her mental state is clear and beautiful but her body is failing her. Now I worry about her mental state and how it will impact her last days. BECAUSE DANBURY WONT LET HER COME HOME! I write this to warn others before choosing this as their forever home. Depending on your health issues, DANBURY could turn their back on your loved one and basically force them out to a new strange place that your loved wont know as home.
