Cypress of Hilton Head, The

The quality of care and compassion for patients shown at Cypress in Hilton Head is truly exceptional. The entire team goes above and beyond, but I would especially like to recognize Monique, the Assistant Executive Director. Monique consistently demonstrates genuine compassion, professionalism, and dedication to every patient and family she encounters. Her leadership is evident in the warm, welcoming atmosphere she helps create throughout the community. She takes the time to listen, advocate, and ensure that residents receive the dignity, respect, and individualized care they deserve. What stands out most is her sincere heart for people. Whether she is supporting residents, comforting family members, or assisting staff, she does so with kindness, patience, and grace. It is clear that she views her role as more than a job—she is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others every day. Cypress is fortunate to have a leader like Monique, whose passion for serving others helps make this community a place where residents feel valued, cared for, and truly at home. I highly recommend Cypress to anyone seeking a community that prioritizes excellence, compassion, love and genuine human connection.

The Cypress is a beautiful, tranquil community with far too many amenities, activities, and opportunities to mention in a single review. What stands out most to me, however, is the genuine care shown by the staff toward the residents. From wellness programs, health screenings, and educational events to varied dining options and engaging activities, there is a clear focus on helping residents maintain both their health and quality of life. I've been particularly impressed by their commitment to bringing in experts on a wide range of topics—from estate planning and healthcare to hearing health and other areas important to seniors and their families. The campus itself is beautiful, and the continuum of care—from independent living to assisted living and memory care—provides residents and families with valuable peace of mind. Most importantly, the residents I meet seem happy, engaged, and well cared for. Special thanks to Suzanne Brown, Celia Furr, and their entire team for fostering such a welcoming and supportive community.

My therapy dog Martina and I have volunteered at Preston health center for over five years. 45 years ago my grandmother was a resident at Cypress until she moved to the Preston. Celia Furr was one of the first people I met when she was memory care coordinator at the Preston. Then she took a position at the Cypress as health and wellness navigator what a wonderful person! She was much missed when she moved. All staff is wonderful at both Cypress and Preston but I remember Celia being the shining star. All the residents are well taken care of in addition of being well fed! The food is amazing the residents also have plenty of things to entertain them. The grounds are beautiful as well. Out of all the assisted living facilities where we volunteer,I would choose the Cypress to move into when the time comes

The Cypress has a culture that is inclusive and mirrors the diversity of its members. Suzanne Brown, Activities Director and Heidi Hanson, Fitness Coordinator have strong work ethics and by consistently giving their best efforts to offer consistent physical presence and competence provide outstanding results and high degrees of satisfaction from members.
