Near historic downtown Cumberland, alongside the Potomac River and the Great Allegheny Passage, a wonderful homelike residence, CountryHouse, provides exceptional care for those with all types of dementia. For more than 20 years, we’ve stood as Cumberland’s only community that’s completely dedicated to providing memory care. At CountryHouse, up to 22 residents make our community their home away from home.
Our sister community, The Kensington, offers assisted living and is located just a few short steps away. We’re pleased to serve local seniors with services at both communities.

Pricing
Starting Price Starting Rates: Base rates start at $6,395 for a companion suite. Respite care rates start at $275 per 24-hour period. Day stay services are not offered by CountryHouse, but can be provided by our sister community, The Kensington
Cost Details: Base rates at CountryHouse include your choice of apartment and all residential services including daily meals and snacks, housekeeping, activities, transportation, utilities, life enriching activities and much more. Additional health care is available for services such as medication delivery, bathing or dressing assistance and more. Prior to moving in, individuals are assessed by by our wellness director to determine what kind of health care services will be needed to live successfully at CountryHouse. Each health care service is assigned a point value that is based on the number of minutes it takes to perform the service as well as the level of expertise of the staff person providing the service. We offer four care levels. Level one of care starts at $750 monthly with costs increasing as levels get higher Care beyond level four is available and charged based on minutes and points. Care
Memory Care
Memory care communities offer specialized care and support for individuals dealing with memory-related conditions, such as Alzheimer’s or dementia. These facilities are equipped with trained staff and offer engaging activities designed to promote well-being while ensuring a safe living environment.
Respite Care
Respite care is short-term or temporary care. Respite care can be provided in adult day centers, in private homes via home health agencies and in senior living communities, most often assisted living or skilled nursing facilities.

We just moved my dad into CountryHouse last week and while he's still in somewhat of an adjustment period right now, I've been very impressed in my communication with the staff. Ever since my first phone call prior to his admission, Maranda has been nothing but kind, understanding and responsive with us. Her calming presence really helped put us at ease throughout the process- and It's evident she cares about the residents and their well-being. The community is clean, safe and gives off a very home-like atmosphere with capable, attentive staff. Megan, The Memory Care Manager is extremely knowledgeable, skilled in what she does and has been very accommodating with my dad's needs. Brooke, the Life Enrichment Coordinator goes above and beyond to offer a variety of special, engaging activities and outings for the residents on a consistent basis ( considerably more than a lot of other communities we had toured before finding CountryHouse). I'm confident my dad will be in good hands here.

We are so happy with the care Dad gets at Country House! His primary care givers are AMAZING. They take our calls at any time of day to let us know how he is doing. When we come to visit they greet us and let us know how he is doing, how he's eating, and every detail of his well being. Everyone on the staff is caring, and always has an amazing amount of patience and love. The facility is clean, and the meals are good. One of Dad's primary care givers came in early on Christmas to have Dad dressed and ready for us. It is such a blessing to know Dad is so well cared for.

We visited many places when looking for a place for my father. Most of them were local to me which would be 3 hours from Cumberland.. But my father had always said he wanted to go back to Cumberland where he grew up. After visiting there was not even a question. Clean, friendly caring staff, addition to the needs of the residents and willing to answer any of the family questions anytime. I would highly recommend this facility.
