Cottagewood became the home for my Mother-in-law for the last two months of her life and I can't say enough about the wonderful staff and care there. We are so thankful that they allowed her to move in so she could be close to us, her family, knowing that her stay there would be short, and that she also would require full care. The nurses and aides, together with St. Croix Hospice, were wonderful and treated her with so much love, dignity and respect. Nick always responded back right away if we had any questions and went over and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. I certainly will recommend this place to anyone who needs assistant living. The residents at Cottagewood always seems to have a great time together. Sitting in my mother-in-law's room we often heard laughter and jokes from the kitchen area where residents either ate together, had cooking classes, movie or bingo nights. It's a smaller place, looks more like a home than a long term care facility and the residents never sit alone, unless they choose to. It's a wonderful place, and I wish we had moved my Mother-in-law here sooner. Thank you for everything!!!

Cottagewood became my sister's "home" for the last 2 years and 8 months and then became our family's home for 9 days until she passed at the age of 59. She was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and battled through it for almost 10 years. I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff, day shift, evening shift and night shift, all were amazing and took great care of my sister and were always there to help. We are so very thankful for them all. The facility has a neat set up and definitely makes you feel like you are at "home". Nick is making so many improvements inside and outside and I am excited to come back and see them all. If you or your loved one is in need of care, I strongly urge you to come check it out. To the wonderful staff at Cottagewood, you will ALWAYS have a special place in our hearts!! Thank you for loving our girl!! Love - Sonya Hoffmann and the family of Sheila Brand

The last 18 months of my dad's life were spent at Cottagewood and I can't say enough about the care and kindness he received. The small and cozy atmosphere made all the difference-not just for my dad, but for our family as well. The staff were very patient and caring and treated the residents with dignity and affection, making sure they were safe and well cared for. Because of the small setting, he never felt lost in the shuffle. The commons room and outdoor patio were great places to bring his grandchildren to visit and we all felt very comfortable there. I am very grateful to Cottagewood for making my dads time there peaceful, dignified, and full of care. The director was very motivated toward this goal. I would highly recommend Cottagewood to anyone looking for a memory care center that feels like home.

When it came time to needing to find a place for our Dad to reside due to needing over sight we toured many facilities in the Mankato area. The one place that stood out from the rest was Cottagewood . Was it easy for Dad to leave his home which he knew and loved into a place that was not familiar to him and he knew no one, i would say no but the staff were so kind , patient and knew how to deal with Dad and his needing time to adjust . Dad did adjust to his new home and as weeks passed Dad became quite attached to the staff and loved joking around with them and loved greeting staff and visitor's at the door . The staff never once made my Dad or family feel like he wasent important . I never worried about his safety or that his needs weren’t being met . He was truly loved at Cottagewood and we were so fortunate that in Dad's last days on earth he was able to be surrounded by his family and his Cottagewood family . We are eternally grateful to Cottagewood for the love and care they gave to our Dad .
