As a local home care provider, I have the privilege of working alongside many senior living communities, and Commonwealth Senior Living at The Devonshire in Hampton truly stands out. The community is warm, welcoming, and focused on providing exceptional care and quality of life for its residents. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the compassion and dedication of the staff. The residents are treated with dignity, respect, and genuine kindness, creating an environment that feels like home. A special recognition goes to Christine Slavin, Sales Director. Christine is an absolute gem and consistently goes above and beyond for residents, families, and community partners alike. Our family had a wonderful experience with Commonwealth Senior Living while my brother was a resident this spring. He was with them for a few months while we were working on moving him out of state to be closer to family. From our initial meeting with CeeJay to our final goodbye with Ms Pearl, the entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The facility just went through a major renovation with modern appointed units and beautiful comfortable public spaces. Big shout out to Paula, CeeJay, Amanda, Felina and Ms Pearl for going above and beyond and keeping open communication when I was not able to be in town. I can't thank you all enough for your kindness.

The individual rooms are not always clean unless a loved one complains. If your loved one passes away while a resident, make sure all equipment supplied by another company (beds, oxygen tanks, shower seats, etc) are completely removed, otherwise they will continue to charge you until all items are removed. According to the executives they say you can not donate left over items (diapers still in the box, extra blankets, etc) for the staff to use for other community members. But the staff is grateful for any and all donations to distribute to patients that run out or need another blanket or bed pads. Make sure you keep a close eye on everything that effects your loved one.

My mom recently moved into the Sweet Memories unit. Like any move to a new place we are still working out a few bumps but the Administrator and her staff have been very attentive and responsive to my concerns and requests. The staff that cares for my mom have been caring, compasionate and respectful. Shoutout to Chris, Fredrina, Erica and Jennifer who ease my mind because I know she is being well cared for.
