I had the pleasure of attending the luau at Collier Park. I was so impressed with the entire event. One employee was working tirelessly barbecuing for the residents. Several others were bringing drinks to the residents and waiting on them. Collier Park seems to do an exceptional job at making it a great place to live!

Hi there. Here is our honest review about our experience here at Collier Park. Overall my grandmother has enjoyed the stay here so far. She definitely feels that the facility is her home and not just “a place that we put her in”. She has a 1 bedroom apartment and it is a really good sized space. The facility is clean and smells decent a majority of the time. The cleaning staff is very accommodating and kind. I have zero complaints with their services thus far. The pool and outdoor space was really nice this summer. Although my grandmother wouldn’t go in the pool itself, I brought my kids and she enjoyed watching them play. The facility has a bunch of flowers and greenery that is nicely kept. They also have several gazebos and balcony’s for the residents to go sit outside and enjoy. The food is pretty tasty and we’ve had an overall good experience with the staff in that department. We have been able to go down and eat meals with my grandmother and it really feels like a restaurant when you eat there. The kitchen staff even offers my kids ice cream when we go which has won over some big brownie points with them ;) The assisted living care: There are three aids that assist my grandmother regularly: Sharonda, Tommie, and Carla. These three ladies seem to really love their job and care deeply about their residents. My grandmother, who can be a bit particular and feisty, seems to really enjoy their company. These three have taken the time to get to know her and even just sit and talk with her which daily which makes a world of difference. We do have cameras set up in my grandmothers room for her safety and to protect our investment in keeping her there (and I highly suggest any family that has a LO in any sort of facility do the same). We have had a few issues with staff from time to time, but I feel like this is going to be anywhere you go. No where is perfect. After a few meetings and conversations, the issues seem to have been attended to by management. Miss Jennifer has went above and beyond to not only handle the issues around the clock but to physically come up and handle them in person. Mr Jamie, who is the facility director, has also taken action to quickly address any concerns that we did have. That doesn’t go unnoticed and is appreciated on our end I do also like that the facility works closely with a PT/OT (they actually have their own gym for this) and a mobile physician. All of those services are able to come directly to the resident so it definitely helps with someone like my grandmother who doesn’t like to leave her home. We are hoping to continue our stay here at Collier Park so that my grandmother can live out her senior years happy and healthy.

Beautiful complex with lots of activities for independent and assisted living residents!! However, if your loved one is on the Assisted Living side you need to be watchful and mindful of the medications given at the correct times and keep track of amount of pills you gave them. Keep track of prescription refills because pills have gone missing from our mother's bottle as well as her bubble packs. Especially if the medication is a diuretic or pain medication. You have to stay on top of ALL medical paperwork you sign. Get copies of everything and READ before you sign anything. It's best if you put camers in every room so you can see, hear and speak with anyone that walks in your loved one's room. Our cameras helped us so much when our mother fell or claimed she did not get her food or medication. It protects your loved one as well as the employees.

Collier Park residents look like they are always having so much fun!! I'm a home health nurse and see all the exciting activities they do every day! Chelsey, the activities assistant is always coming up with the most creative stuff for her people. Great place!
