Clearwater at Rancharrah

Our mother has been in the memory care department of Clearwater at Rancharrah for over three years. During that time we have been very impressed with the care she has received from the staff there. The have genuine concern for her wellbeing and are very attentive to her needs. They also seem to really like her and enjoy visiting with her as well as providing their assistance. We have noticed that they are willing to give her attention as much as possible. We honestly feel as though she is part of one big family there. Our experience with Clearwater is the best we can hope for and we are glad our beloved mother is happy there.

Somehow my previous review is no longer visible, so I’m reposting it because I believe families deserve to know about our experience. Our family member lived in the memory care unit at Clearwater at Rancharrah for approximately one year. Initially, things seemed acceptable, but the quality of care declined significantly over time. We ultimately felt we had no choice but to remove him urgently. There appeared to be a serious staffing shortage, and the employees who were there seemed overwhelmed. Unfortunately, the residents were the ones who suffered. During multiple visits, we found our loved one still in bed late in the day because no one had helped him get up since the morning. On more than one occasion, he was calling out in pain and had not been checked on. Personal belongings also went missing multiple times, and when we raised these concerns with the executive director, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. What we witnessed went far beyond occasional mistakes or forgetfulness. We believe it reflected a pattern of neglect toward vulnerable residents who depend entirely on staff for their daily care and safety. The overwhelming sense of relief we felt after moving him out says everything about our experience. I strongly encourage families to carefully consider other options. If your loved one requires attentive, compassionate memory care, I would not recommend this facility based on what our family experienced. We hope this review helps others make an informed decision.

A dear friend has been in Clearwater for a few years, and I have been impressed with many aspects of the facility. One true highlight is the diverse array of activities they organize to challenge and entertain the residents. Every day, they arrange and lead 6 to 8 activities throughout the day, including exercise classes and a movie in the lovely theater. The leaders of activities have a wonderful way of motivating and engaging each resident. I have friends in other facilities and none comes close to providing this level of engagement!

I have my grandpa in Clearwater I’m so happy with the way he is taken care of. All the staff is helpful if I have a question I get answers right away. Carmel is amazing and Nichole is great at her job. I never leave wondering if he is going to be taken care of. I always get a greeting when I come in. He don’t stay in his room anymore he’s always out doing something and has a smile on his face. He is very happy there and I’m very happy. I have never had an issue with getting help. I use to worry all the time about him and how we are going to get him to his appointment but now we don’t. Thank you Clearwater for being for him and us.
