Clearwater at Rancharrah

I live here at Clearwater and have seen many good changes over time. The activities are excellent and keep me busy most days, which I appreciate very much. It’s nice to spend time with friends and always have something going on. The care staff has improved greatly since the new nurse, Nicole, started working here. She and the team do a wonderful job staying on top of my medications and making sure I’m well taken care of. I am currently out of the facility for a short period, and Nicole has still taken the time to check on me and even visited me twice, which meant a great deal. The food is very good, and I look forward to meals. The servers could use a little improvement, but nothing that makes the dining experience unpleasant. All in all, I’m grateful to Clearwater for being my home.

At first, I truly believed I had made a mistake moving my father to Clearwater. It was often difficult to locate the nurse, and I did not always feel confident about the consistency of his care. Things began to improve after Carmel joined the team, and once Nicole was hired, the facility noticeably stepped up to a much higher standard. Nicole is extremely responsive and very organized when it comes to medications and overall care. She appears to know each resident’s medications by memory, which gives me a great deal of confidence. As a daughter who takes her father’s care very seriously, having direct access to her phone number has been very reassuring. I sincerely hope both Carmel and Nicole remain with the community for a long time.

This is the only facility my dad has lived in where, in the afternoons, the caregivers don’t take forever to respond when he needs help. At other places we experienced very long waits, which was always frustrating and concerning as a family member. At Clearwater, they’re usually at my dad’s room within about 5/6 minutes, sometimes even faster. It really makes a difference knowing he’s not left waiting when he needs assistance. The caregivers are also consistently kind and professional, and they almost always show up with a smile on their faces, which means a lot to both him and our family. My dad moved in in December 2025, and so far we’ve been very pleased with the care and attention he’s receiving.

Without naming anyone directly, I want to address how unprofessional this facility is. I spoke with a caregiver who works there and was informed that the Medtech Elaine is consistently rude to the caregiving staff. I only asked because I heard an incident where a private caregiver went to the head nurse’s office and was verbally attacked by The nurse (I believe her name is Nicole) along with another heavyset man who did not appear to work there. I felt terrible for the young lady—she remained calm, composed, and professional throughout the situation. When I visit my friend at this facility, I often hear about negative experiences. However, I never expected staff to openly disrespect other caregivers who are there to help the residents as well. This behavior is especially concerning coming from individuals who are in charge of med techs and caregivers. There is also another staff member named Donna (I believe she is Asian) who has been extremely rude to residents. I have personally witnessed some questionable behavior from her. I strongly recommend not bringing your loved ones here. The residents are not properly cared for, and the amount of money they charge is unbelievable for the treatment people receive. The nurse Nicole, in particular, needs to be spoken to regarding how she aggressively handled a situation with a caregiver who was simply trying to communicate a basic concern.
