Clarendale of Algonquin

Clarendale of Algonquin is a beautiful senior living facility. Everyone there is so nice. The staff there helped my aunt understand the many options and services available. They answered all of her questions. And with that, she found the perfect apartment. I can’t imagine a nicer place for her to live. It’s easy to be skeptical of a nice review. Please don’t be. We are truly delighted and the staff at Clarendale earned the compliment.

I have my in-laws there. The staff is just remarkable! They are so good with the residents by getting them involved as much as they can. The nursing staff and the excellent workers next to them really take care of who is living there! They all really care about the residents! It’s nice and a big comfort knowing the staff truly cares for the residents and it really shows how much they love what they are doing!! We are truly lucky and blessed to have such a great team behind our loved ones. I won’t stop either until I talk about the kitchen staff and the servers! They know exactly what each resident likes to eat or have for dessert!! 🍨 💕 thank you to everyone at Clarendale for the comfort you bring to our family! 1 more complement on Steve maintenance… gets the job done right the first time 😊

I couldn’t figure out how to post a review on the Clarendale Algonquin website, so I am posting here. I cannot believe all of the awards they are advertising on their website. This in my opinion is not deserved! For the Memory Care division they advertise: “Heartfelt Connections is grounded in a person-centered approach” *A celebration of everything residents do *A schedule of life affirming activities enriching every day. *Warm and caring professionals focused on highly-individualized care addressing high quality of life. *A secured memory care courtyard for outdoor opportunities… They also say “Families can look forward to peace of mind” All of this is not what we experienced. Check out their entire website for more promises & inconsistencies! We chose Clarendale for my mom about a year ago. (my mom passed away Nov 2024) Since day 2 when my mom & I had a meeting with Lycel Martinez-Director of Health Services., we poured our hearts out to her in a very emotional interaction. She took notes & acted very concerned about our issues; • Employees always on their cell phones and not concerned with the residents. (No interaction, no caring.) • No activities • Food is bad and coffee is worse. Not much changed after that meeting & some things actually got worse as my mom started deteriorating. Near the end of my mom’s life we started looking at new facilities to move her into. So it is my opinion you choose a different facility for your loved one.
