Charter Senior Living of Davison

My mother lived in charter for around 7 years in the memory care wing. When it started out it was very good care and nice place. It has gone downhill beyond belief and price has skyrocketed for less care. She was left in bed for a good duration of the day. She is unable to speak or do anything for herself so she was just left behind on most occasions. The nurses aides are usually great but usually leave after a few months for better salary or better place. Have been lied to multiple times by people in charge and if not for hospice I don’t believe she would have been cared for much at all. So much turnover even at the top because of so many issues. Would not recommend at all for memory care as of now. Expect to have to sign in on a tablet everytime you come in and out and need to go search for someone to be let out of the memory care wing. Sometimes this can take 10 min or more if you can’t find someone. Had to call front desk multiple times to be let out of a locked in area. Also look at reviews on indeed from actual workers at this place about all of the issues.

I cannot speak highly enough about Charter Davison! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure that every resident feels welcomed and valued. The residents are vibrant and socially active, always eager to participate in the various activities and events organized by the staff. Charter of Davison has seen a noticeable positive change with the new leadership team in place. Their hands-on approach and genuine care have made a big difference in the overall atmosphere of the community. The recent updates like new paint, carpet, and renovations especially in their memory care neighborhood have truly refreshed the building and enhanced the home-like environment. It’s clear this community is moving in a great direction, and it shows every day.

Total disappointment, what should’ve been a good experience has turned out to be a very negative one, my mother-in-law couldn’t wait to get out of the place which we moved her yesterday. From the moment you walk through the front door to the worn out carpet down to patching spots all over the main entry walls to dirty carpets walking down the hallways, just very disappointing. Facility is in serious need of maintenance and upkeep. Constant issues from as simple as running out of beverages such as coffee to totally forgetting to bring her dinner when she’s sitting in the dining room. When I inquired why the residents aren’t coming out of their room yesterday, I was told we haven’t had an activities Director for the past six weeks, however, they have hired a new one so maybe that’ll help a little bit. The facility advertises such things as free, valet parking round the clock, snacks, neither of which exist!
