Charter Senior Living of Brookfield

My brother and I recently moved our 91-year-old Mom into Charter Senior Living of Brookfield, and I can’t say enough about how smoothly the transition went. This was a big change that she dreaded after she had been living in her home for all of her life, but the kindness and care shown by everyone we met made the experience so much easier for her and for our family. From the very beginning, we felt welcomed and supported. While it was a positive experience from everyone we met, I want to express a special thank you to the following members of the Charter team for going above and beyond to help us work out logistics of moving in, as well as helping Mom settle in and feel comfortable. Their thoughtfulness and patience made all the difference! To Jillian and Darlene - you helped make my initial exploratory call (from long distance!) and paperwork process flow seamlessly! Sunshine - your nurse assessment visit with Mom and my brother left them feeling good about the decision to choose Charter for Mom’s move. Jacob - thank you for your help to my brother with logistics regarding moving in furniture and getting things ready for day one. Romero - what can I say?! You greeted Mom with open arms Day One and your kindness hasn’t stopped! Keith - you made us feel so welcome in the Dining Room, and thank you for finding the coffee ice cream (IYKYK). Sandy - you win the award for getting Mom to attend her first activity and eating in the dining room on her own for the first time, I’m still not sure how you did it but she’s been eating her meals there ever since! We are so grateful for the warm environment and the wonderful staff who clearly care about the residents. Knowing Mom is in such good hands gives us tremendous peace of mind.

I can't say enough about the amazing experience I've had with Charter Senior Living Brookfield. My mom was making a big move from her 55+ community in New Jersey, and the transition felt daunting. From the very first visit, the team at Charter made us feel completely at ease. Emily, in particular, was an absolute godsend. She went above and beyond to help me navigate the entire process, answering my endless questions with patience and providing incredible advice that made the move so much smoother. The staff and amenities here are fantastic, and the community is so welcoming. My mom has been living at Charter for three months now, and she's never been happier. She's much more active, both physically and mentally, and the stress of her previous living situation has significantly lessened. Plus, having her closer to me and local doctors and medical facilities has made things so much more convenient. She's made so many new friends and truly loves her new apartment. It's been a wonderful change for our whole family.

We researched assisted living communities for my Mom a few months ago. After visiting Charter, we knew it was the place for her. Emily Chiarelli was wonderful!!! She was personable, thorough, responsive and truly guided and supported us every step of the way. And, she has continued to be available for any questions or concerns that we have had no matter what time of day. Her knowledge of the industry and Charter specifically is wide and deep. Additionally, all of the staff that we have met from the front desk , maintenance , the dining area and the nurse’s area are very friendly and helpful; not to mention that the facility itself is beautiful. We have had the most wonderful experience with Charter. When our Dad moved in, everyone from Jillian in sales, to Emrin and Kimmie at the desk, to Carol in nursing, Keyshawn in maintenance, and Romero on staff have gone above and beyond in making our Dad feel welcomed, safe, and “at home”. I love visiting Dad at meal time, where it is obvious the staff knows my dad and not only takes his order, but engages is small talk and banter that keeps him smiling! The new chef is a fan favorite, our Dad loves him and we look forward to getting to know the newer staff members the same way we knew people when Dad first moved in. We are so grateful for Dad to have somewhere as wonderful as this to call home!
