My 95 year old mother has been at CG since last January. We are very pleased with the facility and its staff. Patient care, Activities, Food Service, housekeeping and Nursing staff are always pleasant and attentive. The Admin staff are welcoming and open to questions and concerns. We have attended several family functions such as monthly birthday and holiday parties. I’m especially pleased that they offer memory care, as I believe we will need in the future. Mom is content, safe and well cared for. I’m especially grateful for the peace of mind provided in knowing that.

When my husband’s father passed away unexpectedly last year, we had to make the difficult decision to move his mom from Massachusetts to Connecticut. She was in the late stages of Alzheimer’s, and finding the right place for her was not something we took lightly. After extensive research, we found Carriage Green in Milford, and from our very first conversation with Lindsay, who patiently answered our many, many questions, we felt a sense of reassurance. Touring the Memory Care wing, The Harbor Neighborhood, and seeing that it was intentionally designed for just 25 residents to receive the highest level of care, it sealed it for us. It felt warm. It felt personal. It felt right. But what truly set Carriage Green apart was the people. The aides, nurses, and staff in The Harbor Neighborhood are some of the most compassionate, patient, and genuinely loving people we have ever met. These are not just employees doing a job. They are caregivers in the truest sense of the word. They knew our mom. They understood her. They treated her with dignity and kindness every single day. Rose, the director of Memory Care, was always available, always present, always involved, and always responsive. Whether it was a scheduled care meeting or a quick check-in, she made us feel supported and informed every step of the way. And what meant the most to us? As mom declined and we knew her time with us was limited, the level of care did not change. There was no shift in attention or pulling back. If anything, their compassion deepened. When she passed, the outpouring of love from the staff was overwhelming. These were not quick hallway condolences. These were heartfelt, lengthy conversations sharing stories about how much they adored her and how much they appreciated us. It was clear they had formed real connections. Memory care is sacred work. The aides who show up every day to care for residents deserve the highest praise. Carriage Green’s Harbor Neighborhood is filled with very special people doing extraordinary work. We are forever grateful. If you are looking for memory care for someone you love, we would not hesitate for a second to recommend Carriage Green.

When we realized in November 2023 that it was time for my sister to transition to an assisted living facility, we began to research and visit several facilities and once we visited Carriage Green in Milford we knew we found the right place for her. And we are just as happy with that choice today as we were then. There are many facilities that are decorated as nicely as Carriage Green in Milford, but we did not find any facility that can match the warmth and caring staff here. From the front desk staff to the management team to the activities staff, the cafeteria staff, the nurses and aides and the and even maintenance, we definitely feel my sister is so well cared for. I would mention names but there are so many wonderful people working there I would be afraid I would leave someone out, so I will refrain from doing that. But we are extremely impressed with the entire team at Carriage Green who work seamlessly together to keep my sister and all the residents happy and make them really feel at home at Carriage Green.

Our mom moved into Carriage Green in 2023 and spent over 20 months there. She was resistant leaving her house of over 50 years but when my Dad passed it was safer for her to be in a place with others. She found a true community, great friends, and people that loved her. The staff is warm and caring. There is live music every week - often twice a week and she loved that. The place was just renovated but what she loved most was looking out into the pretty courtyard where she could enjoy the sunshine or go out to read a book or attend a party. As people age and have limitations it becomes hard, but having people around you that understand is very helpful. I learned people’s life stories and will miss both the residents and staff. I would recommend for your family member too!
