We toured Capital Manor back in mid-April. Our residency advisor, Maria Byron, was very professional and thorough in her presentation and throughout the tour. She made sure we were able to see the entire complex and she answered all of our questions. The living options and more importantly, the friendly staff and residents, were just what we were looking for. We were so impressed we have already submitted our wait list application.

There is not anything I don't like about my new home at Capital Manor. Staff in every department go above and beyond to meet my needs. All of the diverse meal options are above average in my opinion. The bus drivers are SO kind, and have such patience for the varying needs that we have. The activities/events people listen to our wants, and follow through with the new ideas. The gym trainers are sensitive to our particular needs to keep moving as well as to our limitations. Last but not least, I have yet to meet an unkind resident. The residents are a happy, intelligent, talented group of people.

Capital Manor is a truly exceptional place! Their commitment to their residents, staff and the broader community is unparalleled. The facilities are impeccable, the food is top notch and the community there is vibrant and the activities and events available list is truly enviable. It includes everything from university lectures to concerts plays put on by the residents themselves. Their commitment to the community can be seen in their support for nonprofits such as Marion-Polk Foodshare and the Salem Multicultural Institute and World Beat Festival. If I could give them more stars, I would!

Maria answered all our questions and gave us all the information we needed to choose a residence and add my name to the waiting list. My son, daughter and I were very impressed with her ability to explain the financial aspects to our satisfaction. She gave us a folder with all the information we had discussed which was very helpful to review again at home. It was obvious to us that Maria is very proud of Capital Manor and everything it has to offer. She is an excellent spokesperson.
