Canyon Creek

I cannot recommend Canyon Creek enough. Marianne and the staff helped our family navigate my mom‘s admission into Canyon Creek and the minute she arrived she was loved. Canyon Creek staff know each resident by name, and they are so loving, kind, patient. I appreciated the communication from the staff each time there was a medication change or another message that had to be shared. Having never navigated memory care before, their staff gets to know each resident on a personal level. They understand when behaviors and a resident’s baseline is changing and communicated those changes to us, which was so appreciated. When my mom‘s last days were upon us, the number of staff that came by the room to say goodbye to my mom and to check on our family and offer support and a hug was heartwarming. We would not hesitate recommending Canyon Creek to anyone needing memory care for their loved one.

My stepfather was a resident at Canyon Creek Memory Care in 2024, and our experience was overwhelmingly positive. We had to move him there on very short notice after receiving inadequate care at another facility. He arrived by ambulance on a stretcher, confused and unsure of what was happening. From the moment he arrived, the staff treated him with kindness and dignity. They immediately got him cleaned up, brought him to lunch, and Marianne sat down with him at lunch to feed him while we were still moving his belongings into his room. From that day forward, he was never left lying in bed. The staff consistently got him up, engaged him, and cared for him with compassion. I visited almost every day, so I saw his care firsthand. The nurses, caregivers, and staff were always pleasant, attentive, and willing to address any concerns I had. I was also impressed with the systems they had in place to ensure residents received consistent care. Another thing that stood out was their honesty and transparency. After dealing with another facility that was not upfront about costs and levels of care, Canyon Creek was a breath of fresh air. We always knew what to expect financially, and there were never any surprises. When my stepfather was nearing the end of his life, I spent several days at his bedside. The staff continually checked on me, offering meals, coffee, and anything else I needed. Those small acts of kindness meant more than they probably realized. After he passed away, they even sent flowers to our family. I understand that every facility can have difficult situations, and I can’t speak to anyone else’s experience. I can only speak to ours. Based on the care my stepfather received in 2024, I truly believe Canyon Creek provided him with the best care possible, and I will always be grateful for the compassion they showed both him and our family during such a difficult time.

We toured a handful of memory care facilities, but Canyon Creek immediately stood out as the one place that felt truly alive. And it all started with Marianne. From the moment we met her, Marianne was not only pleasant and professional, but she gave us the genuine feeling that she truly cared about our situation. She took detailed notes while asking thoughtful, important questions about our goals for Marcia. She went above and beyond by sharing smart questions we should ask other places, while clearly and honestly presenting the many benefits of Canyon Creek. Her balanced approach helped us make a confident, informed decision. During our tour, what impressed us most was how well Marianne knew everyone. She greeted residents and staff members by name, acknowledged them warmly, and introduced us to many of them. It was clear this wasn’t just a job for her — she’s deeply connected to the community at Canyon Creek. We ultimately chose Canyon Creek for many reasons, but Marianne was a very large part of that decision. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and Marianne absolutely knocked it out of the park. Her warmth, knowledge, and authentic care made all the difference for our family. I can't express my gratitude enough for the care that Canyon Creek has given my Dad. The caregivers are kind, there are sufficient staff in attendance to attend to their patients' needs, they have frequent activities to fill their days, the food is excellent.. They provide a very clean, visually interesting, and comfortable environment for their patients. They are impressive, organized, and compassionate to both patients and family members.
