Cadence Garner

Our experience with Cadence of Garner has been more than exceptional! They treat everyone like family. Fatein and Nate are wonderful. They address any concerns that arise promptly and efficiently. The staff are friendly and the executive director, Shanda, is very involved and present. It is a beautiful clean facility, a true place for mother to call home! Our decision to move our mother to Cadence of Garner was the best decision we could have made as a family. Highly recommend!

Cadence Garner Assisted Living is truly a wonderful community. From the moment you walk in, it feels warm, welcoming, and genuinely inviting. The atmosphere doesn’t feel institutional at all — it truly feels like home. Shanda has done an incredible job creating an environment where residents feel comfortable, cared for, and valued. You can see her heart in the details and in the way the community operates day to day. It’s clear that making this a true “home” for residents is a priority, not just a slogan. Jacki has also been amazing throughout the admissions process. She is organized, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful in getting everything set up smoothly. She takes the time to answer questions and makes what could be an overwhelming process feel easy and reassuring. If you are looking for an assisted living community that feels welcoming, supportive, and professionally run, Cadence Garner is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!

The staff and patient care at this Garner location and facility is exceptional. Our Aunt Debra struggled with willingness and understanding to go into a nursing home. She had several falls and was a very independent woman her whole life, who spent a career as a nurse. From reaching out for help convincing her, making her at home, and comfortable and her transition to the other side, these folks were patient, kind, understanding. Mr. Reese's is a nurse there who I think runs much of the clinical staff. His love for these "clients" as they call them is obvious, he knew details of the lives of some of these folks who themselves could not remember. He knows how to soothe them, and patiently deal with the sometimes frustrated family members in a way that is truly a gift. The clients like it very warm in there, and I would go in see him and others sweating it up, dealing with the clients who can often be irrational and demanding due to memory issues (such as Deb), and just smiling through it all. If anyone has dealt with an aging family member, you know this is not easy to do. The activities Director, Tanya, is also a God send. Talking to her and seeing her excitement creating sensory experiences and honestly walking me through the painful process of Deb's death with understanding and a bit of humor was so helpful to me. Deb also had her haircut (Shout out JacQuil- 7CutzAbove), nails done, and was treated like a person of value in a way that was so helpful. I remember telling her to think of it as an all inclusive resort, and at one point in her decline she insisted to me that she was on a cruse when there and could not leave to have dinner at my house- ha. This is not an easy decision to move your family member to residential care, financially or emotionally for all involved. These folks made it feel like the right decision, and that they treated her like family. I would highly recommend.

I’m delighted to work closely with the exceptional staff at Cadence Garner. They’re truly one of a kind, always displaying kindness, care, and genuine warmth. This compassionate approach extends to the personalized care they provide to each resident. They thoroughly understand their likes and dislikes, ensuring that their care is tailored to meet their individual needs. The building itself is immaculately clean and well-maintained. A daily snack and hydration station is conveniently located and always stocked. The activities department keeps the residents engaged and active throughout the day with a diverse range of activities, including exercise, music, and crafts, ensuring that everyone finds something they enjoy. If you’re looking for a place where your family member can age in place comfortably, I highly recommend Cadence Garner.
