My husband was at Burcham Hills inpatient rehab for a little ovet two weeks. Although they had some nice staff the experience we had was terrible. They knew nothing about his condition and did nothing to learn about it. His blood pressure ran dangerously low for several days and nothing was done to correct it or figure out why. If OT came in for their sessions and he was sleeping they left. They never addressed him being lightheaded, dizzy, blurred vision, etc. This was after having a stent put in. He has HSP and no one had a clue to what it is nor did anyone try to educate themselves about it. I would never put a loved one in Burcham Hills inpatient rehab again. They were always short staffed with the major of staff being new. It seems they have a high turn around in staff. When he would hit the call button for bathroom it wouks take 20-30 minutes for someone to respond, yet there would be 2-4 staff at the counter talking and not one did anything to respond to the call for assistance. Several times he just went to the bathroom unassisted as he couldn't wait any longer. Their solution was to have him wear depends. I feel guilty thatvI didn't pull him out of there and move him somewhere else.
