It's heartbreaking when you realize your loved one requires Memory Care. I chose Brookdale after shopping many places. Brookdale was the obvious choice for me and my very loveable (and challenging because he's super smart but also now brain injured) Dad. I have no complains only praise for the entire staff at this facility. They worked quickly to get his room ready. They send me pics of him enjoying social activities and games with his friends. It's so hard to know he's not at his home of 45 years. It's SO comforting to know this home is a safe, social and caring place for him to enjoy the rest of his life.

I visited Brookdale such a beautiful and home from home atmosphere. Chris answered all my questions and concerns, everyone was friendly. Moving my love one in was the best dicision I made. I receive heart warming photos from Deana, which makes me feel stress free. I highly recommends Brookdale.

Absolutely horrible experience for my mother-in-law. She was there far too long and that as a guilt we will have to live with. Three weeks after moving her from Brookdale White Rock Lake to a new facility she put on 21 pounds and was much more alert and engaging. I would never ever put someone I love in this facility ever again.

I am not surprised to see that they have removed my review. My Mom was at Brookdale in 2017, she had Alzheimer’s and the Doctors told me it was time to place her in a home for safety reasons. At first it seemed nice, I would notice things like they were not bathing her properly and cleaning her room well. I would say things and tried to give them a chance to correct this. I saw a huge change in Mom after a few months, long story short when her medicin bill came this month they had changed her from 5 medications to 21 medications. I stayed home from work that day to look them all up and found they were mostly giving her anti psychotics!! This explained why such a change. I met with the Director and Doctor and could not have been spoken to any worse than they did. To add insult to injury I found the doctor on the internet and she was under inditement with a local Hospice agency for over medicating the elderly. Once they do this you usually loose them within a few months. It was so awful we moved her that night to Twin Rivers. Twin Rivers tried so har to get my Mom back, they were fantastic however it was to late and we lost Mom 2 months later. While talking to the Brookdale Director and Doctor they had the nerve to get nasty with me and say well you did not take good care of of your Mom, she had a kidney infection and pneumonia when you brought her here. Yes she had a kidney infection, I had taken her to the doctor twice to treat this and she was on her second round of medication. As far as pneumonia I had her at the hospital just before taking her to Brookdale and I was NOT told that she had pneumonia but it appeared they just wanted to sling mud and blame me??? Please beware of this, when has a nursing home been given permission to decide when someone dies. I will check this site once a year and continue to repost this review until I am no longer here. I love you Mom, Signed Barbara Gentry
