With assisted living, we can help you with the little things—like simple housekeeping and meals—and with more involved activities, such as bathing, getting dressed and managing medications.
Along with our care options, you’ll have peace of mind knowing there is staff available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency. Our community is warm and cozy with all the touches that make you feel right at home. Enjoy a good book in our living room with its vaulted ceilings and atrium window, or step out on the porch for your morning coffee. With several floorplan options, you’ll be able to find just the right pet-friendly apartment to fit your style. And you’ll have plenty of room when the grandkids visit. With big windows, a full kitchen and lots of natural light, some apartments even have a balcony.

Please read this before placing any one here. My father was admitted to Brookdale for a 5 day hospice respite stay while battling both dementia and cancer. He was dying, confused, and in pain, exactly the kind of patient this level of care exists to protect. Instead, our family watched a short stay turn into one of the most frightening experiences. His pain medication was not administered accurately. When he was discharged, we discovered his Oxycodone, over 90 pills at admission, was completely gone. Zero pills came home with him, and no one could account for where they went. One night, agitated and disoriented from his dementia, he refused to return to his room and pushed away the nurses trying to move him. Rather than de-escalating or calling in hospice, staff called the police on an elderly, dying, cognitively impaired man. I was on the phone with him at the time and could hear nurses yelling at him as this unfolded. Hospice was never contacted, even though that is protocol for exactly this kind of situation. When we raised all of this with management, the response was an apology and nothing more. No investigation we were told about, no accountability, no changes offered. I would not wish this experience on any family. If you are considering Brookdale for a hospice or memory care patient, please go in with your eyes open, or better yet, look elsewhere.

This is an Independent Living with Assisted Living apartment complex. We’ve been here ~8 months and there is a variety of activities so we’ve been making new friends. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable which is great as we’re new to Denver and Colorado. Food has been good and filling. 4 stars since something might get better.

My mother-in-law lived at Brookdale for four years before her passing. She was a resident of both the independent living and the assisted living facilities. She loved living there and the staff was the most warm, friendly, caring and professional of any that I have ever encountered. The staff of the assisted living facility went way beyond anything that I could have wished for with her care. She was cared for in an extremely professional and caring manner, always with respect and dignity. Rosalie and her staff were the most amazing care team I have ever had the pleasure of working with. There was absolutely nothing they wouldn't do for my mother-in-law, and my appreciation for what they did can't be expressed in a short review. I would highly recommend the Brookdale facility, their assisted living care staff and all their support staff to anyone who may be looking for a facility to care for their loved ones. I believe if you need excellent care for a family member, you should highly consider the facility at Brookdale University Park.

My Mom is 87 and has been at Brookdale University Park for almost 3 years. I can't express how well she has been taken care of. Rosalie heads up the group and she is wonderful. Whenever I have a question or there ate any issues, she is always available to my brother and I. She responds immediately if I have questions, and also keeps us informed. Rosalie and her staff are amazing and always keeps up with our Mom. Rosalie is very straight foreword and always responds to any inquiries we may have. My brother and I feel very supported by Roslies and staff, and feel very comfortable that our Mom is being well taken care of. I can't express enough how that makes us feel. If you had ten stars, I would gladly rate Rosalie and her staff there. We love where our Mom is, and how well she is taken care of and supported.
