Our campus was built with our seniors in mind from the ground up. From our 24-hour security system to monitored entries and exits, you'll find comfort in knowing that your loved one is in a safe and secure environment. We also have care staff on campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency.
At Brookdale Salem, your loved one won't be stuck in a room all day. Instead, we offer a structured daily path of engagement made up of research-backed activities that help preserve your loved one's sense of self. This includes activities like morning mental workouts, clustered group discussions, walking groups, and creative art classes. When it's time to relax and recharge, your loved one will have a private apartment they can call home. Before move-in day, you'll be able to choose between several options for pet-friendly apartment floor plans. No matter what you choose, your loved one will enjoy a space outfitted with a private bathroom and large windows for an abundance of natural light. We encourage residents to decorate their spaces with personal furnishings, favorite family photos, and treasured keepsakes so they feel right at home.
With our memory care program, everything is personalized based on your loved one's needs. They'll enjoy the basics like housekeeping, restaurant-style dining with healthy menu options, and, of course, gentle guidance and reminders. Our care staff is also ready to help with tasks like grooming, dressing, medication management, moving around campus, and dining assistance if needed. I observed the care at this facility and it was very heart felt and attentive. They used two people to assist with care when the patient had an inoperable fractured femur. The dementia patients seem happy and well cared for with lots of interaction from staff. Having worked in several care homes in my youth and 10 years of home health I would say they are fortunate to have such caring kind attentive staff❤️

If there was anything positive to be found in the darkest of days...it's Brookdale-Salem. I needed a ' home' for my family member and a home is what he got. The communication, the care and the humanity they brought to not only his life, but ours as well. They literally hold up the whole family. The staff treated me like family every time I entered the door. I can not say enough about this place.
