Brookdale Niagara Memory Care is the Best. When I knew I couldn't take care of my loved one at home anymore and didn't know where to turn Brookdale was there to help get the care I needed for my loved one. They have an incredible staff who treat you and your loved one with caring, respect, and dignity . It takes a special kind of person to deal with Alzheimer’s patients and each one of the staff there are Angels on earth. From the front desk, the nursing staff and the kitchen staff ,the caregivers you recieve quality care. Thank you Brookdale Niagara Memory Care.

When it was time to introduce my wife to Brookdale, I had many reservations and concerns. I knew that she needed the safety and care that only a memory care facility could provide. I dreaded the day that I would be dropping her off, but the staff at Brookdale alleviated so much of my anxiety by being so welcoming and personable to my wife on that day. They made this transition so seemless for us. I now think of Brookdale as a community of friends; the staff and the residents alike. I am so glad to have my wife cared for at Brookdale, and I always look forward to visiting. Brookdale is a very special place.

My husband has received kind and compassionate care here. Although no one wants to place a loved one in memory care, if your loved one comes to Brookdale, your fears will be relieved, and you can enjoy your visits.

THESE PEOPLE LET MY DAD SUFFER. My father was here for approximately 3 weeks. He fell several times, was in severe pain his entire stay and constantly requested to see a doctor. He had extreme difficulty breathing, a terrible cough and cried out in pain whenever he moved. I addressed my concerns about his breathing and was told it was anxiety and they would start him on an antidepressant. I was told over and over that it was shingles and pneumonia. Finally, he couldn’t stand it any longer and asked me to take him to the ER. I took him to the ER MYSELF where I was told he was in end stage lung cancer that had spread to his ribs and spine! He passed within 3 days. When I informed the woman who admitted my Dad from rehab to their facility she said “I knew it was cancer! You don’t have pain like that from Shingles. He came in here with a mass.” I have questions that have yet to be answered… Why was he admitted when he needed Palliative Care or Hospice? Why did she allow him to suffer if she even had a suspicion it was cancer? Why did she not tell our family of her suspicion? I contacted the director the day after my Dad died to discuss this with her and she never called me back. She ignored my Dad and is ignoring me. My Dad suffered like no one should under their care. No dignity for the dying. No end stage pain medication- Tylenol and Gabapentin was all he received. They did nothing. They need to do better. Shame on them. Rest in Peace Dad. I’m sorry you suffered the way you did while in their care.
