With your renewed independence, you can do, well, just about anything you desire. Maybe you want to wake up without an alarm and savor a cup of coffee on your balcony. Or perhaps you want to meet your friends for an early morning fitness class or join your walking club for a jaunt around the landscaped grounds.

What you do is up to you. The important thing is that you have choices—and our campus calendar provides you with plenty of fun-filled events and programs to choose from.

Consider penciling in things like:

  • Morning fitness classes

  • Flex Your Brain games

  • Comedy movie marathons

  • Sign language classes

  • Current event updates

  • Acrylic painting classes

Doesn't that sound better than spending your days doing chores before collapsing in front of the television for sitcom reruns night after night?

That’s not to say you can’t retreat to your apartment for a little quiet time when you need a break. You have the freedom to decorate with everything from family heirlooms and treasured photographs to your favorite armchair and other pieces of furniture. It won’t take long at all before you walk in after a fun-filled day and feel that home sweet home feeling.

Once you’re here, you can rest easy knowing you have just about everything you need to enjoy the retirement you’ve always wanted. We’ll keep handling the daily chores—maintaining the property, cooking healthy meals, paying the bills, and cleaning up—so you can do more of the things you love. You can even take advantage of our fine dining, housekeeping and laundry services. Our staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency, as well. What more can you wish for?

My husband and I moved into the Meridian this spring. We are still quite active but ready to lead an easier life, i.e. let someone else do the meal planning and cooking. The people are great, both residents and staff. It's small enough that we know everyone and have learned their stories. There is so much talent within this community.

My Mom recently passed away after living nearly 8 years at the Meridian. The staff was outstanding dealing with the pandemic, and following worker shortages. They really care about their residents. It is a great, lively place for older folks who can live independently, but don't want to cook & clean. Highly recommended!

Visited my sister at the Meridian and much relieved to discover that she's living in a retirement community that sets the standard for the industry. Her apartment is very nice and rent includes utilities, housekeeping, meals, transportation to appointments, shopping and planned field trips., and daily activities to enhance physical and intellectual fitness. Staff is friendly, helpful and caring. 2023 update: New management, service downgraded, sister moved.

My mom has lived at Brookdale for several years now. She has Parkinson's and needs some special attention and Brookdale has been great for her. The location and grounds are lovely, including a fantastic patio with koi pond and views of the Flatirons. The staff is caring, attentive, and friendly. Above all, Marcia Klassen (the director) is a top-notch administrator who is on top of every issue, works tirelessly, and is unfailingly charming and friendly. This was demonstrated during the COVID lockdown and a wildfire evacuation, where she and the staff made many personal sacrifices on behalf of the residents. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
