My family and I had a great experience with Brookdale Lawrenceville. My mom lived there over 9 months and truly felt like a part of their family. I recently returned to attend a Cinco de Mayo celebration and see some of Moms old friends. The atmosphere was both warm and Inviting. New Director Jackie Weightman and her staff are doing an amazing job!!!

DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES IN THEIR “CARE” - they let my grandmother in law develop a bed sore that might KILL HER. It developed for so long that the skin has completely rotted away into a hole that shows the bone in her lower back. A MASSIVE HOLE over 4 inches wide. The picture I saw absolutely floored me. The grandmother is so medicated that she cannot fend for herself. Therefore, she couldn’t not see or understand the presence of the sore. How they let something develop to that size when they are in her room daily is something I have trouble understanding. It’s criminal negligence. After seeing this situation, I will never place my own mother in any facility. It’s a nightmare. I’m heartbroken and disgusted. I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE THIS FACILITY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WHEN THEY LET THEIR RESIDENTS DEVELOP MEDICAL PROBLEMS UNATTENDED.

Their cost is reasonable. Their transportation is non existent for Dialysis 3 days a week. Promises were made and broken concerning transportation. What I see is assisted living in a C rating from A to D and A is the highest rating. Patients get their food, meds, a room, and some activities. Avenues to improve through Occupational and Physical Therapy are limited, on and off, irregular if not non-existent! Communication with family as to what is going on with their loved one is almost non-existent. It is what those families with less money have to put up with!! Have a wonderful day!

Dishonest bait-and-switch pricing practices. We have experienced two separate instances at Brookdale in Lawrenceville with the salesperson Deborah. In the spring, she quoted a different price than what was given over the phone. When the facility director was asked, she confirmed that the phone quote was correct and that Deborah’s quote was inaccurate. We looked into this place again last week, and Deborah explained that they had a special rate, which included the month of November for free. When we expressed interest in the special this week, she claimed that the free month was not included, even though we had two family members who witnessed what she had previously stated. We were told the special rate was valid through the end of the month and that we had until Friday to decide. The next day, we were informed that another family “took the room at that price,” and the price was increased. At this point, the District Director, Ann Campbell, was also involved. At no time was it stated that the offer applied only to a specific room. This is clear dishonesty and unacceptable. Families making important housing decisions for loved ones deserve honesty and transparency. Avoid places like this that engage in deceptive practices up front.
