I came from another long term memory care, and talked to Judy in sales. I was very impressed with the facility especially how attentive and caring all the staff and caregivers were with the residents. They truly loved their job and enjoyed interacting and caring for the residents. The nurses, maintenance and front desk staff are all wonderful and love to interact with families and residents. The food is top notch, with many choices and a great variety of foods. Lots of activities and trips as well as being able to go outside in a fenced area off memory care. I was worried about transfer trauma and my husband did great making the adjustment. Judy made sure the move-in went smoothly as well as Pecola, the director of memory care. My husband loves the staff and the food is the best, five star for sure. The caregivers really love interacting with the residents, learning about their life's before they came to Bookdale and caring for them as if they were their own family. They sing to them in the morning when getting them out of bed and keep them engaged all day. I am so happy I moved my husband to Brookdale. Worry and stress free with him in such a wonderful, caring, beautiful assisted living facility. If you're looking for a place for your loved one come check out Brookdale, you will love it.

Attended the Summerfest event yesterday and it was great! As always, the food was excellent - kudos to Theresa and her hard-working, very talented crew. Great job by Judy in organizing the event and to all that carried it out. Brookdale is a first class facility staffed with caring professionals. I'm glad that we found it for the care that my mother-in-law needed and deserves. One suggestion: maybe next time have the outstanding musical trio play in another space instead of the same room as the diners. It was a bit loud as mentioned by several attendees. Thanks!

This is my first time in an Assisted Living Facility but I've been in and out of various 'Health and Rehabilitation Centers' . I'm on a fixed income from retirement, and I have chronic health conditions. My first interaction with Brookdale was a personal interview with Ms Mary Sabio (Health and Wellness Director, LPN). I knew within the first five minutes that I liked her. She was and remains a great representative for Brookdale - knowledgeable, straight-forward, truly cares for the facility, residents, and staff. During my residency here, I've met with her on a few issues that we've worked out very satisfactorily. She listened to my concerns, gathered facts, and implemented solutions. Mrs. Marilou Generro (Resident Engagement Coordinator) is constantly moving and working to implement challenging and engaging activities for the residents. As time consuming as her job is, she finds time to interact with individual residents. She genuinely cares about welfare of all. Mrs Madina Azimi (LPN) interacts and listens to the residents. If there is a concern, I've observed her counseling, patiently explaining Brookdale processes and as needed referrals to one or more of the directors/managers. Very knowledgeable, very thoughtful and insightful, a true leader. Well respected by the residents. Medical technicians of note: Mrs Okimba Fleming, Mrs Sordor Sherif, Mrs Martha Riddle. One common trait in all - constantly learning and willingness to listen and engage the residents. Not demanding. Patiently listening and asking the right questions. Keeping residents informed on medications. Front office staff: Ms Azeb, Mr Earle Perez, Ms Lena Jirasophakul (LPN) - Health and Wellness Coordinator. They were very helpful and insightful in helping me keep my medical appointments and arranging transport. Keeping me informed of billing and upkeep with apartment repairs. Then there is the restaurant staff: Ms Dovie T., Ms Ruby., Ms Ruth and Ms Catherine Velasquez Always warm welcoming demeanor and accommodating to the residents. Food is good as well. Good job to all. Ms Mary Kehinde (Sales Counselor) working to get a friends pertinent information to assess how well Brookdale may meet his medical and physical needs. Very knowledgeable and well spoke with Brookdale's capabilities. She is always in motion. Very helpful. Very easy to converse with.
