With assisted living, our staff is available to help with dressing, bathing, medication management, and coordinate your appointments with outside healthcare providers while also handling daily chores like cooking, cleaning, and home maintenance. This gives you more time to enjoy the retired life, whether that means filling up your social calendar with your on-site community of friends, attending daily activities, or lounging in the courtyard with your favorite new novel.
Our memory care program provides person-centered care to those living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, whether in the early or later stages. Our highly skilled staff provides residents assistance with dining, bathing, medication management, as well as leads them through an array of enriching daily activities designed to nurture their current skills and keep them socially engaged. Our long-standing programs are continuously updated with the latest advancements in dementia care and help to foster a sense of belonging and purpose. Our staff is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to be alerted to an emergency, and our community’s exterior doors are kept secure and monitored for the safety of your loved ones.
In addition to your apartment, designed for your own comfort and privacy, residents will enjoy our community library, dining room with a multi-course menu, game room, and greenhouse. We’re pet-friendly and also offer an on-site beauty/barber shop, postal services, and concierge. Dad needed a little additional support than what he was receiving at his Independent Living home and it was time to make the move to assisted living. We found Brookdale Lake Brazos, with assistance from A Place for Mom and could not be happier! The staff and support during the move (ice weekend in January) was outstanding! Dad has been very happy with his new home and has wonderful things to say about the staff and residents. So many people came to introduce themselves over those first days! We had a health scare with Dad about a month after he moved and I cannot express how quickly they responded and kept me updated as to the situation (I live out of state). Afterwards, Dad made the comment that he really feels like he is in a place that cares about him. I highly recommend Brookdale Lake Brazos and know that Dad is happy, safe and secure.

Visited a friend last week who was placed here recently. While I did not tour the entire facility, I did get to see quite a bit. The facility is clean and smells clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. My friend' s demeanor seems to be improving since placement here. I observed lunch in the dining room- Fried catfish, slaw, roll, cake which all looked delicious. The facility had a calm and happiness about it that came from the residents and staff ! Hallways and elevator were all in good working condition. The grounds are lovely. From upstairs hallway I could see the residents' raised bed vegetable garden. How fun! My friend 's room was expected and the perfect size and amount of independence.I look forward to future visits.

Overrated and overpriced. Staff turnover rate is high. The food is an insult considering the cost of rent. The 2 nurses are both very caring and compassionate. They keep the place clean and the upkeep seems to be about average.

I wanted to take a moment to express how wonderful the Luau was! I found myself smiling as I watched the residents sing, dance, and laugh. Kudos to everyone at Brookdale Lake Brazos for bringing such joy to what can sometimes be a difficult environment. Mom couldn't stop talking about how hard “Misty worked to get everything ready!” I know many people contributed, but it takes a strong leader to bring it all together, and all of you did an amazing job! Thank you for making life easier for the families and for showing how much you truly care. I never imagined how so many residents would touch my heart when Mom came to Brookdale Lake Brazos. I give you all the credit for creating such a special and loving atmosphere.
